Opening Day at SFGAm.

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby rctfan1556 on May 1st, 2004, 8:04 pm
My bro, my friend and I went to SFGAm today. Here a TR.

We got there at 11:30 and to our suprise there was barely anyone there, so I know this gonna be a good day.
We went to Raging Bull 1st, RB was awsome as usual and was actully smoother then last year and the line was very short, we were on in like 5 min. :)

After that we headed towards Revolution.
Revolution wasn't as thrilling as I expected but still lots of fun to ride. The seats were not all that good, they were small, not roomy and the head rest was 2 little pads that curved inward and you could not fit your head in the little dip.

Then we went to American Eagle.
American Eagle was way rougher than last year, ecspessialy on the big downward helix but still a good ride.

Then we went to S:UF to find a very short line, it was the shortest I have ever seen for that ride, it was baiscly a walk on. :D
We got on the 2nd car in like 5min and had a good ride.
So by that time we were all hungry so we went across the street and ate at Hot Diggity Dogs and got a few snacks at the hostess store.

We came back and put our bag of snacks in a locker and then went to the new Stargate ride.
Stargate was ok, better than SSA but still not that good. I think making it 3D would have been better.

From there we got some Cherry Vannila Mike and Ike's at the Trudys sweets store and those were delightful. My friend went to get his pass processed so me and my bro went to VU only to find out it was closed so we took a ride on Demon.
Demon was good as usual and it's new coat of paint was fantastic.
Then we went on Bull again and Giant Drop which had short lines. :)

So after that I noticed VU was open so me and my bro went and my friend didn't want to so he waited. We got he 1st seat on the 1st car and waited about 10min. :)
Vu was an awsome ride and always will be. Then we took a ride on the Great American Race way.

We went to the store near Vu called Additudes and I was in there for like 5min then I decided to go sit down out side cause my legs were killing me.
My friend came out and we went on the massage chairs which were fun.

Here is where are day starts to go bad.
After that we were sitting and just talking and these 4 people come up to us asking my friend to empty his pockets cause they saw him take somthing, so I'm thinking "WTF?". Turns out he had a Key Chain in his pocket but he said he didn't steal it.
So they took all 3 of us and when we go to the First Aid building they had my bro and I wait out side the green wall.

About 5min later one of the security guys came out asking us to come in, they had us call our parents to see if we could take my friend home. We waited around for 30min then finnaly got to leave. Now during those 30min I asked if anything was gonna happen to my bro and I and the secruity guy is like nope so I was somewhat relieved right there.
So they said my bro and I could stay if we wanted but it was a little to cold so we just left with my friend.

So all in all, here is what is gonna happen to my friend.
1. His mom is gonna flip on him.
2. He is gonna be fined at least $250.
3. He is banned from the park and the SFGAm property for the rest of the season.
That all just sucks.

Here is what I rode and how many times:
Raging Bull, 2 times.
Deja Vu, 1 time.
Viper (forgot to mention this), 1 time.
Revoultion, 1 time.
Demon, 1 time.
S:UF, 1 time.
Ameircan Eagle Backward, 1 time.

New things:
Batman's paint up close during the day isn't that good but Demons was fantastic. The Mardi Gras sectionlooks to be coming along nicely, there even got some of the wild mouse built and what looks to be a station going to, Revolution looked good as well.

Overall I had a good day except for what happend to my friend.
I'll hopefully be going on the 14th so I should have a better TR then.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Nice TR RctFan!,

I was looking to see if anyone had the first one of the day posted yet. I am glad to hear about all the great physical changes going on within the park.

Is American Eagle still operating with the brakes being used lightly at the beginning of the helix??

Yes, Shockwave is still on the hill. I also saw Ragin Cajun's track and supports in the employee parking lot.

Yeah, the track is yellow and the supports are tealish. I'm thinking that the track will be multicolored because that's what it looks like on the Map. I guess we'll see.

On the map, it looks like all supports are teal. Track is yellow, purple, and teal (top layer yellow, middle layer purple, and bottom layer teal).

LOL, I can't believe your friend stole a keychain. Thats like the dumbest thing to steal as it costs like $2 and you could esily get caught like he did and get nothing but trouble in return.
