Left the house in Park Forest at 9:30 A.M. got stuck in construction traffic on 294 for 2.5 miles supposedly because of an accident for an hour and a half. There was none that I could see. There was a crew that had the road down to 1 lane. got thru that, got to the sign that says Grand Avenue 2.5 miles. From that point to the parking lot at the park was 4.5 hours. All eight pay to park lanes were in op. Parked in the overlfow lot in the very back. Finally got in the park at 3:15 P.M. By this time i'm just tired as hell from the drive and extremely irritated. Went and got our haunt bands and went to Deadline, waited for it to open at 5 P.M. didnt the haunts use to open at 1 or 2? I remember I think last year getting into MOT at like 2:30 P.M. Anyway got into the station and they announced of course that it was broke down. So we high tailed it to Necropolis. It was decent, saw the characters doing their thing. For some reason they were after my wife..lol. I was laughing so hard at her getting startled. We were going to go thru MOT and the line was insane so we skipped it. Next was Medical Massecre Center. Fun as last year 5 stars. One of my favorites. This time she was getting chased. After that it was Pretzel time. 1st booth we went to they were out of pretzels and the girl working didn't know if she was goona have any more or not. Dont they make them right there?? hUh? DoH? So we headed to Wicked Woods. what a dumb haunt this was, highly dumb. A couple of the actors looked cool though, .50 of a star. Next we found another pretzel stand that was out of salt..lol wow. So it was nacho time...Out of cheese. We gave up and even trying to eat something, and I was so hungry I was getting a severe headache. We waited in coke refill lines for 40 minutes. We did not ride any rides. Went to Manslaughter Manaor. I really like this one too. Very cool and fun. 5 stars. Next we went to Deadline. 1 star for using old rides and such. We left at 9:30 because we just couldnt take it anymore and wanted to beat the mad rush out of the parking lot. Six Flags needs to really get a grip on the food services because they suck extremely and It wa so packed people were being so rude just taking a chance to run into anyone. Suckuerit was busy last night to say the lease. Also Batman line thru the bridge to Ragin' Cajun and Season pass processing past Pictorium. Dissapointing day. Didn't ride any coasters because the lines were much scarier than fright Fest itself.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.

It wasn't a total loss, i mean we got thru 4 haunts and I was with my wife so I did have fun.

^ No. Washington St. is just as bad, maybe worse, when it is this crowded. The line may look shorter, but Washington St. only has 2 windows compared to the 8 at Grand Ave.

I guess I never see this backup as I get there before the park opens when I go.
Hey if 2 lanes get me in faster...then by all means I still dont mind the wait. Seriously though, I just read this report now and I am shocked at how packed it was that day. Glad I usually go opening weekend, its the least packed almost always. Shhh!! Lets keep it that way!
