Excellant pictures!!! Looks like a great time, the one event at wdw that I havent been too but im looking forward to some day.
PS-SFGAM should go for a visit and learn how to create a parade and special event!!

You know, I read this PTR and was thinking, You know, I wouldnt be surprised to see the customary Bob O... "SFGAm/SF should do things like Disney does comment"

and what do you know!

Bob O, you never disappoint with your disappointing commentary.

It is always disappointing for those who cant handle the truth, that SFGAM could and should be much more than it is right now. And that a trip to other parks could help them properly run there special events. SFGAM has learned very well when it comes to keeping the park clean and having the employee's be friendly, and they deserves MAJOR kudo's for that. But not for the sad parades/fireworks and events like ff that they produce.

Nice pictures... I've been to Fright Fest, MNSSHP, and also Universal's HHN too. As far as SFGAm doing better... Bob, you need to keep in mind SFGAm is a REGIONAL park. It does roughly 3 million guests per year. The Magic Kingdom is a worldwide destination and that park alone does about 15 million guests per year, plus there's all the revenue Disney pulls in from the resort hotels, restaurants, etc. Oh, and MNSSHP is an upcharge event - requires a special ticket, and if you want to stay for the party, you have to buy a seperate ticket for it.

Considering SFGAm has a fraction of the budget and attendance, I think they do an awesome job. Definitely things to improve, but even though this is the first year without JPM, I definitely noticed a lot more characters in both Necropolis and the rest of the park.

I would much perfer to have SFGAM FF as a upcharge event like MNSSHP or like they do for MVMCP at wdw. A extra charge for a well run event is well worth the money. SFGAM does have a small budget in comparsion, but with the few changes they make every year and then using the old retread extractions it is IMHO a stale event. For me it extends my coaster riding season by a month which is great. But for non-season pass holders they pay a good amount of money to get into the park and then add in the extra's if you visit the haunted house's then the cost difference isnt great compared to other parks upcharge price. But the quality of the event is very big.
Mickeys Halloween party most days costs 53.95(3 PREMIUM days are more) while FF costs $56 at gate and $37 for the online special, but then add in $25 for the haunted houses FF is more expensive without a excellant parade/firework show/trick or treat candy for everyone(and you can take as much as you can carry from reports ive read and pictures ive seen). I have been to the special Mickeys x-mas party several times and it is a event not to be missed and im sure the halloween event is simliar. I have always felt the extra money i spent for the x-mas event was money well spent and great value for all that you get and while SFGAM cant equla it, they can do a better job than they do if they wanted too.

Why are we comparing FF to MNSSHP? They are two completely different events with two completely different audiences. That's like comparing Beethoven to White Zombie, totally pointless argument and both are great. I'd rather go to FF at SFGAm and MNSSHP at WDW than MNSSHP at both.
