SFMM PTR 8/11

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Cole on August 15th, 2010, 10:59 am
Magic Mountain. Awesome, Great, Fantastic coaster park. X2, Scream, Terminator, and Tatsu are all top 10's for me. Viper, Ninja, Revolution, and Goliath were all good. If you threw 5-6 decent flats in the gaps of this park it would be the best park in the world. We only had one day there and that really sucked, didnt get on all the rides including Vu, and Riddlers (more on that later.)

Now lets talk about X2. The #1 on the charts for me taking Nitro and El Toro out of there 11 month streak. My first ride was one of the outside seats middle row, and it absolutley SUCKED! so much freaking headbanging, jerkiness, and just terrible. I was thinking to myself, how the hell is this ride #1 on everyones list? So later on in the day, I gave it another chance. Rode in row 7 INSIDE seat. Holy crap, amazing inprovment from the outside seat. Glass smoth, perfect transitions, crazy ride. No doubt this is my number 1 ride. I love the audio, kicks the crap out of GADV Bizarro's. Really adds to the ride. The flames and smoke are awesome too. Anyways I think 90% of you didnt even read this anyways so lets just get to the pictures.

Alright, well it’s about 8:10, the park closes at 9:00 and we are in line for Riddlers. The plan was to get on Riddlers, get on Déjà Vu quick, then get in line for X2 before closing. Well, of course we are NEXT in line, and it breaks down. After about 10 minutes they start sending out some trains testing, so we wait another 15 minutes before they shut down the ride for the night. You will not believe how pissed I was. So we exited the ride and had to decide, either a 3rd ride on X2 or Déjà vu…

Image
…We had the most amazing night ride row 7 on one of the last X2 dispatches of the night. Thanks for an amazing day SFMM!
Top 5: 1) El Toro. 2) Maverick. 3) Millenium Force. 4) Diamondback. 5) X2.

Is it just me, or does Scream! look faded (the blue in particular)? No Colossus?

Scream could use a touch up, but its not really popular so i dont think they care. Nope, no Collosus, had to get on the bigger ones in the time I had.

Nice PTR Cole, but I do have to point out something to you regarding comparing Bizarro's first drop to that of Scream's 1st drop.

You do realize they are exact copies of one another right? :) Good TR none the less.

Thanks guys! :)

^^I dont know why, but Scream seemed much faster, bigger and better then Bizarro.

^Didnt even think of looking for Riddlers, dont worry, some acer will probably mysteriously find it by the end of the season anyways.

What's Sacrism? You mean Sarcasm? haha

Yeah, Scream! should have never stepped foot into MM. St. Louis is a better fit.

That's because Scream! is faster, taller and better then Bizarro/Medusa. Look up the stats of both of them on RCDB.... Yes I've been on both and Scream really is alot more intense and just all around better.

Dont cha wish your hyper coaster was hot like Diamondback?
