Okay, long time lurker, first time poster. Also, my first trip report. So let's see how this goes.
So we got to the park at about 1:00 pm. A little later than I like, but what can you do. We walked straight to viper only to find the line stretch nearly the entire queue. And you know how everyone's weary of standing in line when you get there for some reason. So then we went to the demon. We stood in line for 10 minutes until it broke down. (QUESTION: when a ride breaks down and they make an announcement, do you automatically exit the line? or do do wait it out?) Well we got out of line.
Then we settled for a couple flats since we didn't have much luck with the coasters. We rode ricochet (one of my favorite flats) and then chubasco, which I haven't rode before but is now one of my least favorite flats.
We then headed for bull. It was the longest line I had ever seen for it. It was into the second area, but now by a whole lot. The line never reallly moves slow with 3 trains, but both times I went on it the crews were as inefficient as I've seen them. Anyways, then we went back to demon to try it out again. We rode that then went back to viper. We went back row, and that is a hugely different ride back row. I've been back row a few times before, but it never seemed that awesome. Then, as we were walking over to Iron Wolf, I finally caved in and bought one of those souvineer bottles. Yesterday was my 4th time this season. And I know, I should've bought it earlier in the season and earlier in the day, but I never did. Oh well.
So then we went to Wolfie and our group of 4 split up. Me and a friend rode it while my two other friends held my botle and got a funnel cake. It was probably the smoothest rides of Wolfie I've had, but I guess you just have to ride it right. Then we went on loggers run, which my 3 firends regretted the second we got on. What I was really pondering is why is the divider so much closer to the front than the back? I hardly had any room sitting in the first section with my friend. Regardless, it was fun.
We then went to TDK. I set my bottle on top of the lockers as I've seen people do before. It turned out to be a terrible idea since I came out and it was there no longer. Definately a really stupid idea, but it brings up the question: if you don't have anyone to hold your bottle, do you get a locker? because that could get a little pricey for just having a bottle. Anyways, I then asked two different vendors if I could just get a replacement (showed them my wristband) I got referred to the lost and found and guest relations. Then we rode BTR where I experienced my first brown out! Yay. I'm starting to think its too many forces for my liking.
But then we went to the Cold Stone in the County Fair foodcourt where I asked for a last time for a new bottle. She was one of those employees who didn't speak a whole lot of english. She was kind enough to give me a new one which made me quite happy.
We rode viper back row again, then American Eagle which was great as well. We then rode Bull at dusk which was unique and awesome. I haven't been to the park after dark this season yet, and I must say it was very enjoyable. We went to superman where the wait wasn't bad at all. (First or last ride of the day) Then we finished out the day with a ride on V2 which is also far more cool at night. We walked to the exit and passes the glow in the park parade which as a wouldn't stand and watch, was cool to see and walk past.
So all in all it was a successful, fun day. The crowds were quite large, but then again, it's mid July. This was a different kind of trip than I've had in the past and it was a welcome change of pace.
For Viper's line, I kind of feel that the line feeds on the Hurricane Harbor people. It's like with rides at the front of the park, people have to go on them first because they see it, and they want to ride it. Well, when people exit Hurricane Harbor, they see Viper, and it's like they have to ride it. With crowds concern, yes you have to understand that the it's mid-July, and its' going to be more crowded than other times, but at the same time look at the park has been doing. They added BB, and people aren't going on that. The Dark Knight last time I went wasn't THAT crowded, and the Little Dipper is meant more for younger kids. On top of that, remember they took away a thrill ride like Deja Vu, so what do you think is going to happen? They also made Iron Wolf's harnesses harder which was a bad thing to do maybe 3-4 years ago.
So, the teenager /adult thrill rides are going to get worse for the more the thrill rides they get rid of, and if they keep on adding more rides geared towards kids. I also would love to go in the Pictorium just to see how crowded that show is, and if it's not, there's more people going on rides instead of seeing shows.

This summer the park really is extremely busy. I'm sure Six Flags will have a good year attendance wise. Since May, I haven't gone a day with it not being extremely busy.
^Don't really agree with that. Maybe, it's the day you are going, but in June (I'm not talking about July), it felt fine - not extremely busy to me.

When a ride breaks down I usually stay in line unless the park is totally dead. Chances are I'll be waiting in a long line either way, so atleast i feel accomplished after waiting out a break down.
When I was in high school I used to hide my loose articles around the park and pick them up afterwards. If I brought a sweatshirt and it got hot I would usually store it in Viper's giftshop in the back corner under their hanging clothes. I'd hide stuff behind SUF's pillars on a regular basis as well because that was the only ride that forced you to have a locker back then.
Against the rules? Probably. Smart? Probably not. But I was in high school and it worked each time.

Oops, I forgot to answer the questions. When rides breakdown do I stay in line, or not? It really depends on whether or not I can figure out the situation, and how long I have been waiting. If I just got in line, there is no reason to wait because the ride is broke. For Deja Vu, even though it's gone, it was doing a lot of mis-parkings, and I knew it wasn't going to take a long time to come up, but if it mis-caught, that might be 30 minutes or maybe around 20, but it was awhile. If a ride like Demon is stuck on the lift hill, and they are taking people out of the ride, there is no reason to wait. If it looks like they are just taping off a row or seat, than I don't see a big deal in waiting. Sometimes, it's just puke also which isn't that big of a deal. If a ride closes for lightning, I'm not going to wait. I'm going to try to get on something else. It's because of they are guaranteed to not open it until 20 minutes after lightning in the area.
I guess if Iron Wolf breaks, there is no reason for me to wait because it's Iron Wolf, and the wait later be will short anyway. If the park is going to close, you wait because there are no more rides. If V2 gets stuck just past the station, I would wait, and that's based on them just re-starting the ride, and it doesn't seem that long. For a flat ride, I don't wait because they are flat rides, and they usually have a minimal line anyway, so there's no point if they break and me waiting. Sometimes, I think of leaving, but than you have to go all the way back through the line of people, and it's annoying. For Whizzer, if it broke down when in line, I wouldn't wait. That ride to me is too temperamental.
________________________ The other thing is that I betch you that the locker person saw your bottle on top, and threw it out.

I got a feeling that tomorrow the park will be dead judging by the latest facebook attacks against Six Flags.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
Those are just harmless trolls let out by Glenn Beck. Think nothing of it. Six Flags isn't responding because like you think they would because they know its going to die down soon. Plus, if you click on their profiles some of their locations are Hawaii, Oklahoma and a ton of other locations where there isn't even a Six Flags there. Think nothing of it. Just let them know that there is infact a Christian Family Day 8/28 and that Six Flags didn't have a choice. Each park is having a Muslim Family day, INCA, or whatever its called can't have two of the same events at two different parks on the same day, therefore one had to be 9/12. Simple as that.
Is there going to Christian concerts on Christian day - 8/28? I'll go if SFGAm has some good Christian bands in my opinion like Third Day / Casting Crowns / Michael W. Smith / Point of Grace / Mark Schultz and so on. As I said in the topic that's gone now, Muslim is a religion. I have nothing wrong with a day at the park.
