Kon's 4/25/2010 Trip

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby shockwave guy mark on April 26th, 2010, 11:08 pm
So after my GPS system decided to freeze up we got to the park 15 minutes before opening. I decided to take the back entrance and not take 294 which seemed to be smart considering only a small amount of other people decided to do that too. Parking lot was extremely empty, and me and my friend were surprised by the large lack of people at the entrance where we were held until 10:00 when we could go through security into the park.

Hit the bathrooms and sprinted to Superman. No one was on it. It was running one train, we waited about 6 minutes for front row. Next we went to The Dark Knight and rode it three times without getting off. We got so sick of it that we decided to leave the ride, not that the ride op's forced us as we were the only ones in the building.

Went through Mardi Gras and saw everything was closed so we went to Batman. Walked right onto front row as the empty train rolled in. We were the only ones in it for all three times we rode it. We were going to ride it a fourth time but we decided to get off because other people wanted to ride front row.

We then walked right onto V2 as that train rolled in also. Rode back row for the first time twice. We got off because my friend said he was really scared to go on it again and other people wanted the back. There were only people riding in the front row and back.

We then walked to Iron Wolf. No line, no homo. It was terrible and I will probably not ride it again this season.

We then walked to American Eagle because Revolution was closed. We rode American Eagle in the back row (walk on) and then rode in the middle twice. Got off because my friend really had to pee and we were both really cold.

We then walked to Giant Drop, and on the way I noticed Buccaneer Battle was running for some odd reason. No one was riding it of course. ANYWAYS walked right onto Giant Drop which was running three cars, and it was of course awesome as always.

We then walked onto Raging Bull, but on the way I was told by an employee that I had to wear a Line Monitor thing. This is what it looks like...

Its to tell people working how long the line is so they can update the board on the length of wait. Has random facts printed on the back.

Waited for front row on Raging Bull which was about a 10 minute wait. No one else was in line except for the back row. The ride was absolutely freezing, but so much fun.

We were gonna re-ride but decided it was too cold so we went to the arcade to warm up. I played some DDR and in the groove and we headed toward Viper.

Got to the station and someone puked all over the track when the train pulled into the station. After 5 minutes of downtime there was yet more downtime as the train got stuck on the chain lift. We waited around 15 minutes and Viper was up and running again. We rode it twice in the back row.

I saw Orbit running and told my friend we needed to ride it because it one of my favorite flats. We did and we held a conversation on the dead silent ride even though we were in different cabins.

We then walked towards Whizz... er, I mean the Karate Kid Coaster, but it was closed!? SHOCK! Because it was closed I got my pass processed (worst picture EVER) and then we rode Triple Play. We got off and walked right onto Sky Trek Tower (2nd run of the day)... and we got stuck at the top. I KNEW something was wrong because the car was not spinning while going up. We were stuck for about 5 minutes and then the thing started spinning while going down.

Chang!? Maybe... There is land clearing, and I did see the track by American Eagle. Whoever said Chang would go here along Hurricane Harbor was absolutely correct. It fits perfectly.

We decided to loop the park on more time. We went to Superman Again this time in the back row. WAY more intense. Both front and back are pretty fun.

We went on The Dark Knight again which had a line this time (about 15 minutes) but it was only to get somewhere warm. The ride was terrible, and the ride op remembered me and looked at me like "wtf why are you riding this again?". Lets just say I am overly excited about the chain lift for that ride. Photos were turned off this time around for some reason.

Walked to Batman again and rode it once in the front row, once in back row, and once in the middle. Back was not as fun as the front. All three times were just seat changing and not getting back into the line.

Wanted to ride V2 but it was closed (temporarily?). There were park worker in the front so we did not bother. We then walked to Revolution and rode it once. It started drizzling for a minute while riding but stopped immediately.

We then walked to American Eagle which was still running one train. We waited 10 minutes for front row, and rode it again in the middle. It was REALLY cold now so we got off.

We then walked to Demon and rode it twice. No one ever was in line and everyone was just re-riding it over and over again. We rode it twice front row which was a walk on. We got off because my friend wanted to get going because he was really cold. So we decided to start wrapping things up.

I went on Giant Drop again which was now running only two cars. It could have only ran one and it would have been fine to be honest with you. The park was THAT empty. I was very surprised the park did not close early due to lack of attendance to be honest with you.

we then walked right onto the back of raging bull. I wanted to re-ride but my friend was complaining so we decided to hit Viper and leave. We rode the front and the middle and then walked out of the park at around 5:15.

SO here is the total!

Superman-2 (F-1,B-1)
Dark Knight-4
Batman The Ride-6 (F-4, B-1)
Vertical Velocity-2 (B-2)
Iron Wolf-1 (F-1)
Demon-2 (F-2)
American Eagle-5 (F-1,B-1)
Raging Bull-2 (F-1,B-1)
Viper-4 (F-1,B-1)
Revolution-1
Giant Drop-2
Orbit-1
Sky Trek Tower-1
TOTAL-34
COASTER CREDITS-28

Not a bad day at all with all things considered. Many rides were not running, and I can tell coasters were a priority and a must to have running today. All kid attractions were... well, not running. I enjoyed this trip alot except for it being cold and windy. It was definitely the most least crowded day I have ever gone.

Anyways if you enjoyed this Trip Report maybe you will like my Trip Report video! Maybe...?
LINK REMOVED. I removed it because parts of my video goes against SFGAmWorld's Forum Policy. I can not give a direct link, and if you feel you must watch it you can find it yourself on my youtube page. The link to my youtube page is in my signature if you don't know it.
The reason why its so short is because I was never really standing around to record video. I will make a longer video next time, and I am going to make one every time I go for now on, as well as make a post like this one, so keep a look out. More Photos next time too!

Censored the Link in the quote.

Be Careful posting that. Video includes POV's, and POV's are against the park code of conduct because cameras must be in pockets during the ride....content that breaks the code of conduct is not allowed on SFGAmworld Forums.

Yes I will not deny that there is small segments on pov videos in my video. I will not record the ride if I am told not to by the park, but they did not stop me. I dont really see a problem with it as long as it's not actual full pov's which I do not support. If it's against sfgamworlds code of conduct let me know and I will take it down when I get the chance (I am not home right now so it's pretty hard to take down on a phone).

It is against park rules, and as Goku stated, it is also against the forum rules.

So I have a question, do they ever run Raging Bull with one train?! Out of all the times I've been to the park I've never seen it run with just one.. you would think they would have ran it with one on Sunday just to save money, It would have been more then enough (I was there too)

^ They removed the 2nd train around 45 minutes before closing on Sunday. Also, the first few weekends last year, Bull opened with 1 train while the 2nd train was still warming up with heaters.

Was it just bad vision on my part, or are there only two trains as of right now for bull?

^ No Teal Train at Bull, no Yellow train at Demon, Whizzer only has 1 car from the 3rd train (on the ground). Still finishing up rehabs.

Seems like, between Dipper and Magi-Quest, the trains took a back log. Bull's Red train isn't as clean as it can be. But, I won't complain, because as long as the coaster is running, I don't care.

Yeah I was there too they made us get out of the train two times before they let us go, a waste of 15 min.
