August 23 Trip

Well my brother actually decided to drive me to the park today with my sister-in-law and nephew which was nice. They went for about an hour to Gurnee Mills while I made my way around the park. Typing this in Cyber Cafe by the way. Well all in all a good day to go out. Cool temps, sunny & not horribly crowded. Going on the bus later which jackluver made it sound like they park by Superman and actually they park by the main gate on the right. Had to check Guest Relations for that and good I did otherwise I would have waited in the lot for a bus that wouldn't come there. Yeah I know it says no buses by Guest Drop Off but I didn't pay attention to that. So gotta leave by 9:50 to make my way slowly to the bus headed for Rosemont where dad will pick me up. Demon had a few issues today otherwise water rides DEAD almost all day due to the temperatures. Buccaneer Battle had about 6 EMPTY boats at a time. Did kareoke for a bit and that was fun about 4 times. The girl Melissa is really suited for the job all I'll say. Here are the totals so far...maybe I'll update later on. No flash pass again....Waste of $$. Got Subway out of the park and a one slice Pappa Johns later on.

For Iron Wolf, maybe I can change your mind. During the corkscrew part (right after the straight piece track that you think would be block brakes) put your head forward. After I went on that ride when doing that, I thought holy cow I might actually consider this a great ride again. The operators on that ride are so slow though. It takes forever, and I just understand why. Is it that hard to lock the seats, and than check them. Tell them to stand up, and I'm locking them. Done.

Please, that strategy has been around for years.

I thought it was common knowledge.

I love IW, and have been sticking my head forward and keeping my feet all the way back for quite awhile.

Well it took me a lot of experimenting to figure it out and people always seemed to do the opposite.

It didn't bother me much when the harnesses were nice and soft. Now, they aren't. Also, I tried the other strategy which is move you head into the cork so if it goes to the right, you move your head to the right, and than left, and if you messed up, it got to you.

You should not have to do that for a piece of crap ride like Iron Wolf. Shockwave was nothing compared to the pain Wolf causes.

Last Pace Bus Trip. Bus did not show. No people on the stop. Had to call my dad to come from the Rosemont station to Burger King to pick me up. You fail, Pace Bus. Suck this....

It was FREEZING by 8 P.M. and of course I did not feel like going on the rides at that point just caught Dark Knight by the end Superman was maybe a 20 minute wait I was worried about losing my phone I don't know it seemed no big deal. Cyber Cafe is cool and has awesome coffee but 70% of the sites are inaccessible because of the controls set for little guests.
