SFGAm 07-21-09

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Superbleachbrothers on July 22nd, 2009, 12:14 pm
On a nice hot day and cloudy day, I went to GA yesterday. The crowds were bigger than the last time when was here. It was a bad day and a good day for me.

Please Note: My Fiji camera has a limit of 16MP. Later on the report, the quality will be different on the pics. There 4 choices for the image quality:
* 10 Highest
* 20 High (This is what I mostly use.)
* 25 Normal
* 33 Low

Here are the pics:

SFGAm is getting new signs like the parking lot ticket building. The Sign near Grand Ave. has now been changed with the SFGAm logo and SFHH logo with the slogan "Best Park in the Nation" and the the circle garden thing near the entrance has a new welcome sign which is nice.

Metal Detectors. Why do we need those?

Go left if you want to ride Batman at the back.

The Iron Wolf in the logo looks pissed.

Speedy says DON'T RIDE THIS!.

Image
How did he get a ton of $100 for riding a coaster!?

Image
Superman is flying with the Condor. I had to wait over an hour for Superman because the ride broke for 10 mins.

Near by Hometown Square and the Carousel shop is a new LCD Screen that advertises crap.

Image
Demon goes in the loopy loop! After riding the Demon I lost my phone so I was very pissed off. I mean I pissed off until I came back to the Demon and I told the staff where my phone was. She said that my phone was at the lost and found. So I went to the there and I asked the security lady that I lost my phone and she give me my phone and I was happy. For now on, I'll put my stuff in my cargo pockets so I can't lose them.

my attempt to take a better Raging Bull pic.

Viper in Blood writing.

Image
Batman from the Sky Trek Tower. I thinking about doing a Batman The Ride tribute because its my favorite ride here.

The Carousel at night time.

Overall, it was a good day. I'll be at GA again on Friday so I'll be there all day until closing. Is anybody going to be there?

Was anybody there yesterday?

^Well, you have to check if there is a concert. Okay, there isn't one that day. Next you are going on the middle of the week which is a good idea rather than weekend. Next, you have to determine the weather. If it's cooler out, less people are going to go to the watepark which means more people in the regular park. If you are going to the watepark, that would be a plus because there would be less people in there. However, it's very close to August which is one of the worse times (beginning of August) to go to the park. The other time is Fright Fest on a Saturday towards Halloween.

Expect it to be crowded, but not really, really jammed. Now, on August 1st, expect it to be really, really jammed.

Why is Fright Fest so crowded? It's a Halloween event, it's something different during that time of year, there is no waterpark capacity to take people, you have the water rides not operating in the regular park, you can get the other type of teenagers or adults to come to Fright Fest that don't come during the regular season (I call them dark girls because I think of the other name to be degrading), limited run is Fright Fest (It's only on weekends.), and sometimes they shut down other rides like one year East River Crawler was being taken apart, and another year you had Triple Play. I call them dark girls because they wear dark clothing, and dark makeup. Fright Fest is also the end of the end (It's the last time you can visit the park till next year.)

You know what's funny is that you are complaining about Demon because you can't pick your row, and my complaint about it is that they are reserving flash pass seats even later in the day when no one is there. There are always a guaranteed 6 seats for flash pass people even if they are not there. Why can't they just use the other stinking line (They have 2 lines going up to the station) for the flash pass people, and do what they do on Superman. So, what if they have to change the line a little bit? The capacity is so bad on that ride especially towards the night when flash people could careless about riding Demon, and go on Raging Bull, V2, and Superman as their last rides. On top of that, now they have to open up the flash pass gate, and tend to them while reducing overall capacity on the ride.

I don't care for the idea about flash pass, but for Dark Knight, V2, Superman, Whizzer, and so on; I'm fine with flash pass and how they stop the line like that. That's the way it should be done. You aren't minusing any capacity from the roller coaster at all.

18 capacity for one train is ridiculous for a roller coaster that's only running 2 trains. At night where are the flash pass people??? They rather ride Superman because Superman still has a 45 minute line because the workers are so slow on that ride at night, but than they start speeding up when they see the line is long, and they have to go home. I waited in the same line (amount of people) previous for like 25 minutes, and than just at night, it was 45 minutes. The ride didn't break down. It took them forever to dispatch a train on Superman at night!
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
