Short Kingdoms Trip and Major Accident

Let us know how your day at the park was.

So I decided after laying by the pool for a couple hours to go to Animal Kingdom to hit a few rides up on Everest. I got there, not bad at all, standby for Everest was about 15 minutes with single rides, I managed 3 rides. I got off a train and that train then loaded and got on the next train. I then went to Dinosaur for a lap around there, seemed brighter than normal. Then I just walked around to kill time.

I left for the Magic Kingdom, first thing I did, got a Dole Whip float. It was so hot and I needed something tasty, what better way to solve that problem. I walked by the already abandoned Stitch show in Tomorrowland and saw the awesome sight of a closed Space Mountain. The park was packed, everything was over 30 minutes except Pirates and Small World (of course Stitch, who rides that?) Then just wanted to kill time till the 4th of July fireworks show. In case you didnt know, the Magic Kingdom always sets off the major holiday shows (4th and NYE) the day before and day of to help crowd control. The show itself is way better than the NYE show, but the finale is seriously lacking to that of the NYE show. Still great show with awesome perimeter fireworks that were well themed.

Now I will be hitting EPCOT tomorrow, might update if anything big happens, like another fire.

By the way, Rockit looks SWEET at night with the LEDs.

Ok, I said I'd report back if something big happens, well, something more than big happened. Well, to start the day I rode SSE, Figgy and Living with the Land then waited for the fourth fireworks. Those were amazing. But now it gets bad.

At about 2 am, a monorail colided with another monorail inside the EPCOT station, the cast memeber driving the monorail was killed and several others were injured. I linked the story herehere

A dole whip float is the most amazing dessert, it can be found at the Magic Kingdom in Adventureland, and can get dole whip ice cream at Polynesian as well.

Update, the monorail system has reopened today and been cleared by OSHA
