I don't know why people have to mess with the actors like they are doing with the Trolls. If someone messed with me like that and they got out of hand by spitting or hitting, I would have to just clock the person and teach them a lesson.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
No, but it's just not that big of a deal. It would have been if somebodies life was at risk or something but that didn't happen.
For the whole troll problem I think they need to use more caution with what they say. It seems like they think they have no boundries with how they act. It's one thing to screw and swear at a teenage guy who probably would do it right back, but it's another to do it to a full grown older man. You've got to respect that, espicially if he has a family.

It seems like the trolls just insult people because they cant do anything else. They arent allowed to scare people anymore during the day, and whereas before, they could scare people, pull gum out of their nose, and play practical jokes. Now they focus too much on the insults and dont do anythign productive. I hate the trolls. It isnt like I was truly affended by them, but for the crap they were saying to me and my friends, I thought they were assholes and thought getting them in trouble was the best thing to do.
Thanks for the props!!! I love that character. It's a pumpkin face and I have a mullet. I carry an axe because I am a woodsman, I cut down trees. Unfortunately because of shipping errors I have to wear a Devils face now until I get the pumpkin back in. The devil face looks like Darth Moll or however you speel it. So unfortunately some people call me that. Usually they are people who associate the color and horns with it and have no clue what the difference is.
Soon enough though, I will have my pumpkin face back!
The bushes are led this year by a female. She is awesome and scares everyone. My son and nephew are the other two bushes.
As for some of the characters in Necro, the girl with the jacket is actually a dead Necro High Chearleader. She adds another dimension to the area. Also, there is a tourist. He is sorta lost and thinks he is in hawaii. He is funny and looks great.
The grave diggers are getting better every day. Watch out for them.
Have fun everyone
da rcman2001 wrote:I thought the new necropolis looked way better (entering in the other direction). For some reason it felt smaller though, and like they were shuffling us through. It was way cooler at the beginning though because the small walkway with added mulch (making the path even thinner) turns the beginning of necro into a single file line, and it felt as if i was in an outdoor haunted house. The bushes did great this year because a row of corn that is meant to narrow the walkway doubles as a blind spot, so you cant see the bushes. Even though you know there there, its still freakier for some reason. The bushes were also able to scare more people because since the path was so narrow people had to keep moving, so they couldnt stand around and ruin it for everyone else.
Once in the higher end of the city, th decorations were the same as al the other years. I have to give props to jpm this year also. The costumes this year were SO much freakier. The dude with an axe and a mullet in necro was SO cool looking words cannot describe. The chicks in necro looked really cool too, but their costumes were really random. One chick looked like she was wearing a red high school jacket, but whatever it was, it was cool. The gravediggers were scrawny little gothic punks with shovels and they looked cool too. Im not dissing them, Im just describing their outfits. The stage for the freak show was under a giant roof nd had a cool stage set. I didnt catch the show though. All I saw was a guy jumping on broken glass. There was hardly any lighting, and around the exit to the maus all the lights were red purple and strobes.
Not that I make a habit of this but I have had two people ejected from the park already for fighting with the characters. Then of course they were sorry and didn't want to leave. They were lucky they weren't arrested. It isn't always the character that starts these things. I am not sticking up for the trolls but in EVERY situation there are two sides of the story and usually you would have to prevoke a character to make them say something rude to you. The trolls are not a scare creature, their job is to be funny and insult people like a troll would. I have said things (nothing that bad) to people but it is all in fun. Some poeple carry it too far though. I have had people get in my face for no reason at all, like yesterday. And yes, they were kicked out of the park. I have people make fun of me, tell me to get a real job(I'm a software Consultant), tell me I'm ugly, thoses are insults...but that's ok? If they dish it out, they are going to get it back, twice as bad. AND we all have some great comebacks.
Like myself, the trolls, the Mayor, we are high profile characters and our job is to meet and greet along with scaring.
Rc, first off, you did the right thing. That troll (or the two of them) were out of line. I want you to know that your complaint did not go unheard. It went from Park GR to Entertainment to JPM to a memo to EACH actor in the production. We've all been told to cut that sexist crap out of the show.
As for the scares, the park really seems to be divided: Left side for scares up to Yukon, right side for photo ops. Trolls are listed as High Profile (as in meet them and encounter a troll in his environment). That means we should talk more and scare less (or even not at all). We try to scare when we see the right opportunity, but we really aren't supposed to. A month from now when you all look back at any pictures you find of the trolls you will see a ton of the blue ragged troll and few of the others. That's because I try to do what the trolls are supposed to do.
Now as for attitude and language, I cannot condone what those two said, but I can try explain where some of it comes from. All day long, when its not scared girls, or photo wanting families, it seems that all we get to see is 12-15 year old boys who think our sole purpose on the bridge is for them to prove to the whole world that they are men and that they can take us on. I had some teen boy just come up from behind and grab my shoulders and spin me! My partner had two guys come up behind him and slamm down on his shoulders! Just yesterday, those creeps from the radio station in our area ripped one of our masks off and called us a-holes! What for? Just an hour of putting up with that offal from guests can put any actor in a foul, retalitory mood. Having another human being spit on you is going to make you lose your temper, and possibly let your judgment about where to draw the line slip.
I can only hope that as the show goes on, less guest will start crap, and therefore those trolls will dish out less.
Remember, costume or no, we're just as human as you inside.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Take the babies HOME! I'm tired of parents yelling at us because their baby cried at just the site of us (no, we don't go chasing tiny kids for our few scares). It is Fright Fest, not 'come out for one extra month of churros and dippin dots fest'.
Very well said Ruk! I applaud you whole heartily! The trolls rule! I watched you guys for an hour on Saturday and laughed so darn hard I was on the ground. I was the guy wearing the Coaster Junkies T-shirt.

I 2nd that praise! I saw more kids under the age of 6 after 8pm crying and freaking out and the parents were just laughing!! Now I personally am not a parent but I'm sorry that is just not right!!!

Then the train comes back through the station but slows down. My friend and I experieced a V2 E-stop. It was SO AWSOME.
I think you were, but whatever.
And Ruk nice way of putting it about the trolls. I'm going on Sunday and hopefully me and you guys can be cool. I don't exactly classify as a 12-15 year old (although I am 16) trying to become a man. If you see a kid with an X t-shirt come up to you and just say "Whats up man" or something like that, it's probably me.
I like making friends with characters.

Yeah most likely I saw the 9:30 show I guess there was another show inbetween because nothing happened then. He said that he sometimes hits and aritery or vein and blood squirts out so it doesn't really surprise me. I wonder if he will still do that the rest of Fright Fest....
Thanks Ruk. BTW, did two radio braudcasters pull a trolls nask off? Were you the troll?
Hey tafaba, I didnt know you were the mullet guy. Your the freakiest guy in necropolis. I know you work all day and pass a lot of people in one day, but if you remember some time on saterday night when you were yelling mullets rule, I passed by with my friend who has a mulet and we were pulling on the back of his hair yelling mullet. Then you said your was better. Later on we came back with another kid and two girls and I was pointing at them for you to scare and i was holding them back so they didnt run and when you started to follow them and I let go they ran 50 feet away.
Regarding the freak show.. that guy is just crazy! My fiance went up and stapled $1 to him. I just couldn't do it and then he had the little kids staple $1 to his forehead and someone stapled it right into his temple!! Ouch! Man I gotta give that guy props! The whole show was great.
