I'm sure the park would LOVE to turn the trims off so that maintenance doesn't have to check them, but it's probably crucial somehow to the ride. Less stress on the track and such or something. There must be a good reason besides controlling the trains speed.

No shit sherlock! Diamondback looks amazing compared to our little Bull.

It is vastly superior to Raging Bull. In my opinion, it has better trains, a better layout, a sweet splashdown, and airtime galore. The main difference to me is that in order to not fall asleep on Raging Bull, you have to ride in row 8 or row 9 (or the front row if you like visuals). On Diamondback, just about every row is a winner - and to me, that's one thing that is rarely looked at to determine what makes a better coaster, but I definitely think that's something to always consider (that being, is the ride a good ride in just about any row).

Lucky...

Not much of difference with an empty train. The trims are activated based on weight/speed of the train. During passholder morning ERT in either 08 or last year, there were no trims but there was also 2 people on the train including myself.

I like that both of you haven't even rode the coaster yet but have come to the conclusion that it's way better than Bull.

Turns out, pictures don't always tell the truth. I thought Diamondback was boring in the back (except the first couple hills) but awesome near the front. All in all, its an out and back coaster and Apollo's Chariot is probably a little better in my mind. (except for the splashdown)

I'll second that......

So it seems like I would like DB more.
.

Than I think you would be disappointed with Diamondback. I didn't find it to be better than Raging Bull. It's neat, fun, and reridable, but just didn't have that 'WOW' feeling I was hoping for from the world's 7th ranked steel coaster. It's very good, but not great.

RB is a hypertwister.
