Why not. Those rides, like BB, are empty during May, and June, and when it is chilly during those months, they are empty. I went alot during May, and June, and it was not the ideal weather to be getting drenched on a ride, IMHO, you get more drenched on BB then you do on any other water ride in the park.
You're friend needs to get a life then.
Jesus Christ. I'm sure BB is nauseating. Oh yeah most definitely. FLOATING AWAY ON THE OPEN SEAS WATCH OUT YOU MIGHT GET SEA SICK!
You people are morons. Don't post anything ever again. Because even if it was intelligent, it would be stupid coming from your mouths.
Easy on the name calling there. Maybe it's nauseating for his friend seeing families enjoying themselves on as ride they can all enjoy, then one only he would like to ride. As far as being operational only part of the season, well atleast it will be open more than the previous ride that occupied its space.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

I sure can compare them. Some people have an emotional attachment to those three, which is fine. However, that does not make those rides untouchable when it comes to BB. if BB is a bad idea due to being seasonal, then they all are. You get soaked on the rapids and somewhat went on the 2 flumes. That, to me, says they are all seasonal and "a bad idea" then.
How fast to the other 3 go? How much longer are they? It is not about getting soaked...Splash Water Falls got everyone soaked too...it is about the whole ride

Not very fast except the drop on the flumes. And it is about getting wet. The flumes are basically the same setting as a wild mouse once up the lift. It's also why people go to a water park when they could just ride a simple giant slide at a fair.
They do go fast that is why you can't sit still and relax when you are on them because the water moves so fast u have to sit still or really hold on...especially if you don't have a full boat
^^^Buccaneer Battle is anything but relaxing. You arent' cranking the thing than? Maybe, you are just sitting there waiting for people to shoot at you, and not shoot back.
A water ride (in which the main purpose is to get wet) can be compared to another water ride in the park. It's different than comparing Scooby-Doo at St Louis to this ride. That's a laser ride in a water channel where this is squirting people to get them wet.
There was a time when Deja Vu was open in May. Low-staffing basically shut it down though (that's their excuse). What, water rides peak for 5 or 6 hours of the day.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Once again, wrong. Kids, teens, and A LOT of adults were riding it that day. There's nothing "uncool" about squirting some random guy in the face. It's actually extremely entertaining. In fact, there were tons of college kids riding during my cycle, all of which were having a blast. Stop hatin and give this thing a chance!
onyxhotel08 wrote:You aren't going to see many 20+ year old people on BB that aren't with their kids...or have no life. Everyone goes on YC, LR & RR.
I'm 20 plus with no kids and have an average social life. Not sure what that has to do with ridding an theme park ride. Also, spend 5 minutes watching the guns on the land. See who runs for them, odds are it is adults.
And no, everyone does not ride the other 3 water rides. Some people don't like getting wet period. Others do not like getting drenched so they skip the rapids.
onyxhotel08 wrote:Is it the older fans going on the ride itself OR just running for the squirt gun things to get people wet? A little difference there.
Both when i last rode but does it matter? Both are part of the attraction and needed to make it work. Without the land people, there is no real point to the ride for the people facing the land guns.

Does that pretty much sum it up Onyxhotel?
I'm a little sad there is no clapping smiley for that.
WRONG. I am mad they waited till the very end to announce it was leaving but saying I wouldn't be happy with an ride there other than Vu is ridiculous. The other rides have three bonuses: #1 They give u great views or take u through great terrain, #2 They are much longer in duration & finally they are park "icons" as they have been here since the Marriot days.
I'm pretty sure a cycle on BB is around the same length as any other water ride in the park. And come on, you can't even be mad that they "didn't tell you." ACE had started setting up the event at least two weeks prior, and we pretty much all saw it coming. You're really running out of reasons.
^^ Only reason they would be considered longer rides is because of how fast and efficient the loading is on BB with the 3 lines.
I'm sorry but there is no scenery. I see a bunch of crappy painted building on the ride and zig zag some. Also, being an original attraction does not make it a "icon." American Eagle and Raging Bull are icons due to their sheer size and location on the skyline.
