SFGAM - 6/29 - I've had better (Long, as always)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Do I Know You on June 29th, 2003, 10:35 pm
I woke up at about 10:00AM, because my brother said we would leave at noon. I waited for about 6 and a half hours till he finally took me. I got to the park at around 5:00PM.It was freaking CROWDED! The only ride we even thought about getting in line for was American Eagle Red, and we did. It was about a 20 minute wait. We took a back row ride. Right as we got up the chainlift, I remembered that I forgot to take Dramamine  (If you've read my other TRs, you would know that I get really bad motion sickness) I had a great ride on it, and didn't smash my legs up too bad :lol:Deja Vu was still missing a piece of track and no train on sight.I went over to Demon to find that there was about a ten minute wait. I strapped myself in for a back row ride and off we went. For some reason the music wasn't playing in that first tunnel. I got up the chainlift and got whipped down on that little drop thing. It gets me by surprise every time. I got a nice dose of ejector air on that first drop. It was running a lot smoother than normal for some reason. I didn't lose any IQ points on those corkscrews for some reason. We got off the ride and started walking around the park for a little bit. We decided to go on Batman, but get water first. There was a FIFTEEN #@%$ING MINUTE WAIT for water! We got in line to see that it was almost out of the queue. It was about a 40 minute wait for the front row. I had a great ride and really felt the forces. As I was about to get off, I saw that the train in front of me was stuck on the lift. I was only one train away :evil:We headed over to Iron Wolf. As we got in line, someone gave me a free fastpass. That was nice of them. We were gonna use it on Raging Bull or something. The wait wasn't too bad: 20 minutes. I got a front row ride. I went down the dip as usual and went about 1/4 way up the lift when it STOPPED! I WAS STUCK ON IRON WOLF! WOOOOHOOOOO!!! (For those of you who were there, I was front row, one seat away from the right :) ) I was stuck there for a good 10 minutes when they finally started it again. I had a great ride on it. Not much headbanging, even in the flatspin. As we entered the station, the ride op said to stay in the train if you want another ride. I was wondering why they didn't give me a fastpass. I found the reason out later. The ride was great again. The original plan was to ride Eagle, use the fastpass on Raging Bull, then stand in line for Superman. Eagle was only running backwards blue. I got a back row (last to leave the station) ride. Right before we were gonna go, some dude started freaking out because he couldn't get a ride on red. Security came. I never realized how rough backwards blue is. I think THAT ride hurt more than Iron Wolf :shock:We headed over to Raging Bull to use the fastpass, but it was past 8:00PM already, so we had to wait in line for it. The wait wasn't too bad, 20-30 minutes, but they were still handing out boarding passes  I finally got my long awaited night ride in the back seat. For once, I didn't get the blue train  The ride is so much better at night. I loved every second of it. I'm glad I went on this instead of Superman. The park was closed, so we had to leave, obviously. My brother lost his key to his car on Batman, so we had to wait in the parking lot for my dad to bring a spare key. My brother was really upset because it cost about $150 (he has a Benz 8) )I guess I had a pretty good day.
