Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby pennyroyalest on October 15th, 2005, 12:51 am
I went with my older brother and sister-in-law.
We had a major late start, and while planning to be there at 4:30, we got there at 6. It took us two hours to get there from their house in Berwyn. Traffic was insane.
Parking, surprisingly, was not insane. The overflow lot wasn't even being used.
We got a nice little spot by S:UF.

First ride we went on was S:UF, with a relatively short 30 minute wait for the back row. Neither of them had been on it before so I, being evil, told them the most mild seat was the back. You should have heard them scream through the pretzel loop.

All the ghoulies were out in full swing, which is just how I like them.
We stopped to get some pretzel goodness, and I had an Icee. We ventured over to Vertical Velocity, another one neither of them had been on. My sister-in-law whimpered everytime the coaster whizzed by. We pretty much dragged her on it.
Is it just me, or is it really fun to experience a ride with someone who has never been on it before? It's like you see it through fresh eyes.
Anyway, the wait for V2 was about 25 minutes.

We strolled through Necropolis, my sister-in-law freaking out the whole time. It's so much better at night. (On Opening Day of FF I only went through it during the day.)

Off to Raging Bull, where we got the front row with a 35 minute wait.
Giant Drop, 25 to 30 minute wait.

Took a break to play some games. Won two Tweetie Birds in a row in the claw machine.

Then we decided to take a merry jaunt through Mausoleum of Terror. Of course they forced me to be the leader, and I am always perpetually confused by the mirrors and darkness in that place. I love the trippy spinny tunnel.

Next it was AER, which was practically a walk-on. Good to see Forward running again, and they raced us against AEB.
Then, sadly, we left the park, catching the tail end of the parade as it ended.
After a pit stop at Wendy's, it was onward ho.

The End

Deja Vu is done for the year. The entrance is now blocked with hay bales.

That reallly sucks I had accumulated 5 free exit passes and I was going to use them on Deja Vu cause it had no fast lane and I wanted to use them at Fright Fest cause it is crowded but now I have to use them on Raging bull.

Oh we'll it happens.

What I'm wondering is, if it's actually mechanical problems with Vu, or just staffing issues.

I wouldn't be suprised if it is staffing but then again Deja Vu does go through drama at any time. Like I said half of the rides on opening day for Fright Fest were closed I think till 5 P.M. then opened.

Yeah, I remember getting to the entrance and seeing the list of closed rides, there were a lot.
But I think they almost all eventually opened except for Vu.
It's disappointing, because Vu had such a good season this year.

From opening day till now I accumulated 5 passes.

Me , my wife, my son, and my nephew got stuck on whizzer so that's 4 and last month Deja Vu had drama so I got a exit pass for waiting so long in line. I had planned on using them for Deja Vu during fright fest since it is crowded and it does not have fast lane but to my bad luck Deja Vu had to have drama again.
