TR for 6/17/03

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Coasterguy45 on June 18th, 2003, 5:46 pm
Well it was a pretty good day. I was getting nervous though because we got there at about 930 and entered the park at about 945, we headed right to superman. When 10 rolled around they told us that it would not be opening at 10 so we left and went on V2, i rode in the front the first time but it was weak on the forces but fun. We then went on Batman and it was very smooth, i never remember it being this smooth. We then went back to superman to just check on it. It was 1030 at that time and it was open, they had just started letting people in when we checked. We got in line and waited 20 minutes. They told us to go to the second to last row, and it was overrated in my opinion but still a great ride.We then went on the water rides, Roaring Rapids and Loggers Run because it was already really hot. We then went to eat lunch. We headed right to American Eagle and rode it backwards which was really fun. It was the second time that i had ridden it backwards and this time it was so much better. We then headed to Raging Bull and waited for about 45 minutes and it was awesome. We got in the second row and it was a blast. We then went on Giant Drop which was boring but only 20 minute wait.Viper was next and that is always a great ride, Then came Demon which was pretty good. It was getting really hot and humid so we decided to go see that shoe in the Imax theatre called Adrenalin, (is that how you spell it) and that was really cool.We then went on superman once more in the Second row which was so much more fun than the back, i mean tons. All in all it was a good day, no many people but the most crowded day i have ever been to.Raging Bull- 3V2- 2Batman- 1Superman- 2Viper- 1American Eagle-1Demon-1Whizzer-1

Riding near the back of Superman is overated? You going to tell me that you didnt feel your organs pressing against your spine in the pretzel loop? That is one of the most intense elements on a coaster.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Well yeah i did but i thought you were going to get more of a flying feeling on the ride, i mean those are some awesom forces. I like the front better because you get the more "lost stomach" feeling on the Pretzel loop. I mean it is a great ride but when you get really excited you expect a lot but when your exectations are not met then you get kind of disappointed. I love the ride it is an ingenius ride but it isn't my favorite. Sorry about the confusion!!

I guess i didn't explain myself well enough for my first TR. Deja Vu was not open and Raging Bull had a car on the lift and so that didn't open until 1045 but i was really nervous about that. And Iron Wolf was open, there was no line every time i passed it but i didn't feel like getting a headach because i had no Tylenol with me.
