Late Report- SFGAM 8/17

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Ragin_buL on August 20th, 2005, 10:01 pm
I know this is a little late but I was there on Wednesday. We got there a little late because of late friends  but the crowds weren't bad at all. Only a small portion of the back lot was full, not even half. Well, we got our ticktes rfom Jewels already, so we just stood in line and waited. We got into the park and decided to go on Superman first. My first time :) It was an hour wait but I loved it! Anyways... after that, we remembered how long it took to wait in line so we decided to get a Fast Lane ticket. We wanted to go around, not just go back. We made a stop at King Chaos and it was also my first time...awsome ride! But the restraints did hurt me a little...Well, anyways..we were going to go on Roaring Rapids, but my friend's mom told us that she didn't want us to get wet so early in the day..so on we go! We took a whirl on the Whirligig...relaxing ride... Then we got some shaved ice  **While waiting for the guy to make the ice, it was nasty to see a Bee swimming in the flavoring liquid[don't no what it's called]. It was nasty... Anyways, we skipped Iron Wolf and decided to eat Panda Express at the Farmer's Market place while watching people scream on Deja Vu. Once we were done, we played some games, then bought the Fast Lane tickets. We immediately headed for RB. Ok, when we got to SW territory this happened:

On our way to the fast lane entrance for Raging Bull, my friend told me to look up and so I did...then I saw Giant Drop stcuk! It was stuck halfway up! all the cars! I thought that maybe it was just Giant Drop, but then when we got to Raging Bull's FL entrance place, I saw that they started sending out empty trains  :?: we thought maybe they didn't want to load that one, so we just stood there and waited...then another train came into the station...people got off...and then it just left...they just sent empty trains out for a while. Then we decided to come back later. We were going to go on Demon, but my friend wanted to see what was wrong with DG. We stared at them for a while untilthey lowered them back down to solid ground...=]... We then were not sure where to go, until my friend started running towards RB because she saw a train full of people zip past us.

We got into line and it was a really fast moving line! We rode row 3 and I had the outside seat,. It was awesome!!!!! My first ride on Bull! I was really nervous on the lift hill [I hate lift hills!] And my friend kept telling me "It's a nice view from up here isn't it?" When we got to the top, I squeezed the restraint as hard as I could. OMG! That first drop is amazing! Halfway down I put my hands up and kept them up for almost the entire ride. *It's really hard to keep them up, isn't it?] So cool! After that, we decided to go on Superman again since we all loved it soo much. Again, awesome ride. Now we headed to Batman. Wait wasn't that bad. The theming is soooo cool. But the batcave/ loading area is too loud, in my opinion. We got into our seats and took off. Wrost ride of the day. Even thought it's cool, its like..the roughest ride of the day! My head still hearts from all that headbanging! :x
Well after that, we decided not to ride Deja Vu. we headed back to the entrance where we waited for the rest of my friends to mett up. While waitin we went on the Carousel[sp?] Nice ride, but it took too long to start. After that we had dinner at Rainforest Cafe and I had a great day!

** Oh yeah...and V2 was testing today. When we got into the park we looked up and saw it going up and down, and later saw it near the station, I think.**

*Next time I go will maybe be sometime during Fright Fest.*

I also enjoy Superman above almost every other ride in the park, but you are going to get criticized heavily by some because you think it's so smooth. Some people on this site can't handle even the smallest shuffle.

Glad to see you had a good time on Raging Bull. Most people seem to.

Also, if you have trouble with headbanging on Batman, just try to put your head forward, almost out of the restraints. That seems to help me on all rides that have OTSR's (Over-the-shoulder Restraints).

I was there the same day. RB was sending out some empty trains when we were waiting in line for Viper just before noon or so.

Next time you get to ride Bull, ride in the last row. You'll enjoy it.

Edit: Oh yeah, take a ride on Viper too.

^That was when they were adding the 3rd train, for some reason they felt the need to send out an empty red and yellow train as well. I didn't see the Giant Drop breakdown, though.

Ahh, ok. I was only in SW territory around noon and then again around 7pm. 7pm they were sending the green train around empty too. That's when I thought they started running the 3rd train because it was sitting in the station when I rode it earlier in the day.

Ragin_bul, cool. I love it too.

Of course they have to send empty trains. How else would they get the people off the teal train before switching the ride over to maintenance?
