Short HH lines! 8/18

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Today I went with my friend Kayla, her dad Johnny, her grandma, and her cousin Nathan. We left at 11, ran into an ugly storm, got there around 12:30 but my friend's dad & grandmother decided to go to Gurnee Mills & get lunch first. We finally got to the park at 2 and went straight into the water park. Wow, shortest lines I've seen for the water park! First thing we did was go into the lazy river, no wait. We even got to stay on. Then we went in the wave pool which was awesome. Then, we got on the purple raft slide, the green one was closed for part of today. I went on with Johnny, since all 4 of us couldn't get on together. AWESOME air on the drop.

Next, we went to the tube slides. Kayla and I went on the green bowl slide while Nathan and John went on pink. OUCH, rough spot right before we got into the bowl which was very unusual. Fun though, of course. Then we went by Skull Island. I went on 3 of the slides. Next we all went on the Wahoo Racers, I was the only one who got stuck trying to go down. Great ride though. We went on the other slides right next to them, and me and Kayla went down the blue one. Woah, we had some airtime and even went sideways & nearly upside down. It was crazy!

We went in the lazy river again, but actually had to wait this time. We still got to stay on though. Then me and Kayla got on the teal tube slide. I didn't fly off the tube this time, haha. Then I went on the green bowl slide with Johnny. Once in the bowl we started to go backwards and I hit my back really badly on the part where you go down out of the bowl, since I was in the back of the innertube. It was still awesome. We went in the wave pool one more time, and since the green raft slide opened up, we also went on that. Kinda boring compared to the purple one.

Around 6ish we went back into the theme park. First we went on Viper, which had NO wait. We only waited 1 train. Kayla and I went in second to last row. Okay, now I'm finding that the back row has much more airtime than 1:3. I think I'll keep going in the 2nd to last row from now on. It was a GREAT ride. Then we ate dinner at Aunt Martha's... and then went on Demon. That had to have been the smoothest ride ever on Demon. NO headbanging whatsoever. I was in row 6:1 and had a 1 train wait.

Kayla actually wanted to go on Deja Vu this time. She'd never been on it and was always too afraid to ride it. Surprisingly it was only a 15 minute wait, and we went in back row, and Nathan went on with us. Now I think I may like the back better than the front, the forces seem much stronger and it's just way more fun. After that all 5 of us went on GA Raceway. Heh I love this ride. Next, 3 of us went on Revolution. Good ride.

Then we went on the Eagle, John's favorite ride. John and I took the front row going backwards, and Nathan and Kayla were right behind us. Sweet night ride. Kayla and I headed to BTR to get a quick ride on it. 1 train wait for back row, great ride. I wanted to get on it in front row next, for my 100th ride ever on it, but nooo. "My grandma will get mad!" Finished off the night with a front row ride on Iron Wolf with Nathan. We wanted to stay on but the ops wouldn't let us... I think I gotta do this ride in the front more often. All in all a very good day, some things really pissed me off and it could have been better, but that's what I get for going with non coaster enthusiasts, lol.

A few notes...
-Deja Vu ran very, very good today.
-V2 still closed, surprise surprise.
-I think HH was short of lifeguards today, because some of the slides were not open. (One of the raft slides for part of the day, some of the slides in Skull Island, and the body slides.) I was really looking forward to trying out the body slides today and they never opened. :x
-The IW crew seems to get slower and slower every time I go. Tonight they were HORRIBLY slow.
-Both sides of Eagle used 1 train.
-Bull was using 2 trains today. Too bad I never got on it.
