Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby clrntsqueak on August 8th, 2005, 12:20 am
Today was PACKED! Business keeps picking up more and more. There was a huge wait for parking even at 11:00 (like opening traffic). We get in the park probably at 11:30.

We figured Superman would have an outrageous line so we got a Fastlane for that ride. We go on the bumper cars (short line). lol, were we right! :P The line was completely full and going all the way to the bumper cars! It was with pleasure bypassing that entire line. It was well worth the money! Superman was good.. can't get enough of that pretzel loop!

Then we wait in line for about a half hour for a pop................ Goodness, they seriously need to speed up their food service. Especially if it's a little cart.

We then go on Batman. The line was full.. it took about 40 minutes, not bad I guess.. I expected this the moment I reached the parking lot.

Hmm.. then we passed the CLOSED V2.. That was disappointing. After that we ate lunch. Then we went on Triple Play.. was okay.

Off to Southwest Territory! (My favorite section). We go to Bull......... my God, that line was long. About half of the second queue house and a full first queue house. That line was about 45 minutes. Sat second row.. awesome ride!

Then we went and saw that circus show (awesome show btw). Oh, we went on Sky Trek Tower after the circus too. Then we left at around 8.

We didn't get to go on much.. :( It was realllllly fun though. It doesn't matter how crowed Great America is.. it still guarantees an awesome, fun time. :D

It was my first time doing Fastlane today and I REALLY like it. I wish it were $10 still.

Closed Rides:
DeJa Vu (I saw it testing once but it never opened)
V2
Great America SR

Notes: Giant Drop was almost full! That's why I just figured I'll go on it next time and forgot about it.. Demon's line was also almost full. (Definitely not worth it when I can walk on some other time) HH reached capacity (not a surprise). BUSINESS WAS BOOMING! :P

It's a shame to have two coasters closed, I would have definitely squeezed V2 in my day.

This is my first TR.. How did I do?

Sad thing is, It was worse on July 26th. That is a TUESDAY! OH well, good for the park, bad for the park patrons. Nice to see cokes running half an hour. Lunch THEN triple play, eh? Sorry the park was busy, but it was a weekend.

Great job with the trip report. It is definitely not worth my trip down there. The train was closed?? It wasn't a bad trip report at all. Good job!! :D I really don't like the one paragraph trip reports (I'm not talking about yours.). They don't really help.

Wow, Great America Scenic Railroad is having a really bad week. I gogt stuck on it Thursday at noon and it was down the rest of the day. It also went down most of Friday. Now its down again. Thats 3 out of the past 4 days.

Good to hear Deja Vu tested yesterday, I was worried it could be down a long time.

Yeah, it tested perfectly fine also.

I was mad because we were going to take the train back to the front of the park, so we had to walk.

We got Subway before we went, so we saved the other half of the sandwich for later. That's why lunch then triple play lol.

Oh Six Flags on a Sunday!! Well we got there around 2:00 and I was like great...The parking lot was like a 20 min wait and we hade to park in the way back it was crazy!! Right next to pole 61!! So we get in the park and started walking to HH and I was like no way! Like an hour wait! So we went on Viper which was a full line and didnt move that fast. Then off to Raging Bull which wasnt bad but it was odd because it was against the fence and into the line but then they only hade like 7 of the lines open. After Raging Bull we went to Deja Vu thinking it would work because it looked like they were getting ready to open it!!! So Me and my sister got in line which we were the second people in line because it was roped off. Vu was actually making progress each test! And my half brother and sisters went on Demon while me and my sis waited. I was talking to this man who was standing next to me and asking a worker about the park. His questions were "Whats up with v2?" and "So whats gonig on with Whizzer?" And so that cought my attention and I asked him what he thought and he was like well I asked a worker here earlier and they said its going! He also said ACE wants to recagnise the ride but cant because they need Six Flags to annonce its leaving. Then it was gonig up on one of the lifts and I said oh no and then it didnt get cought and it fell and rocked back and fourth! So then they were saying its not gonna open! So I went to HH and went on the Vortex or Typhoon slide whichever one was Green and Blue! So I grab a double tube and get in line and im at the station and the life gaurd has me sit in the front sit? And I get in the Bowl and only go around two times and on my second time I start gonig down backwords but the front of my float got cought and I fell out of it and went down the Green and Blue Bowl slide backwords on my butt holding my raft!! Then I said im done with HH for today and me and my Sis leave for Eagle and end up sitting in the Theatre watching some diving show with mermaids but as soon as guys came out with spedos I was out of there!! Then we ran back to HH couse we acadently took the car keys from my dad who needed to get into the car and drop off towles. Then we run to Eagle Backwords couse Frontwords hade a huge line then we rode front row and then ran to Superman!!! And rode backrow but it was terrible couse we waited an hour! Then we got stoped by this Parade with Loney Toons! but it was cool! Then ran to the bathroom bye Orbit then RAN as fast as we could to Bull before it closed! Then rode Bull and as we were gonig up the lift we were screaming Hi dad couse we could see him walking back from the little lost and found first add couse he lost his glasses in the Lazy River so we ended up getting off Bull and hade to go back to lost and found! At this time the park has been closed like 45 and we waited like a half an hour and they didnt find them!! WHAT A FUN DAY!! But the funny thing is I was there on Friday 2 days before
SF IS CLONING! AHHHHH!!!
