We drove about 3 hours, and we stayed at the Wildnerness Resort. Which recentley recieved a Proslide Tornado and a "Toilet Bowl." I also noticed Great Wolf lodge purchased a Tornado, which was enclosded (the front part of the funnel.) Here's how some of the rides were in the Dells.
Big Cheif Mount Olympus Theme Park
Hades
Total Rides: 3
Front Row all three times.
1) Being our most anticipated ride of the trip, we waited 3 cycles for front. I wish this ride had two trains, because it would save alot of time from the ops screaming for people to take an empty seat. This ride is AMAZING. You have a great ride before the lift, and the rest is just an amazing ride. Note: since you can't even see it, the 90 degree turn is before you make the left to the turn around.
2) Walked right back on, just as great as last time.
3) Longer wait for front. Talked to some ACER's behind me. My mom rode in the back with some guy who wsa on with 96th ride that day. He's been taking every single seat apparantley.
Every other coaster at Mount Olympus, was just awful. Zeus is a pain machine, Cyclops just isnt right with those weird lap bars that are more like chest bars (No I don't mean OTSR's)
Timber Falls
Avalanche
Total Rides: 3
Twice in front, once in back.
1) For just riding Hades, Avalanche had a tough act to follow. Though I still don't know which one is better. This ride made it extremely hard to decide. Truley amazing. The last place I'd expect to see one of the best Woodies on earth.
2) Back Row. Very rough. Front is extremely better.
3) I rode front in the right seat this time. It hurt so bad. The turns are mostly right, so you get slammed into the side of the lap bar. PAINFUL.
Wilderness Hotel and Resort
Tornado Slide
Total Rides: 3
First thing I noticed about the one here and at Great Wolf Lodge, was they seemed more angled and shorter than other Tornado slides, maybe just me. This version is totally different from the others I have seen. First off, this and the Toilet bowl, start inside, then go out. So you get the slide experience outside. Which I found pretty neat. This version also had 3 turns before the drop, which made it more exciting. So we went through the turns, then oh my gosh you pull some G's on the drop. Then you come into the funnel, which isnt all to impressive. Now the cool part about it is, when your coming back inside theres a really small S-Curve so I got launched off the corner coming back into the splash pool. They did a good job with this. Oh, and for any of you that have been on a different Tornado, did you have to carry the rafts to the top?
Toilet Slide
Total Rides: 2
Since I don't feel like waiting at Hurricane Harbor, I tried this one out. All I can say is, this is an iffy ride, and a bit un-safe. It is fun if you come at the corner right, and horrible if you don't. But what really made me against this, is when your going into the tunnel to exit the bowl part, the back of the raft can fly up onto the wall making the person fall off the raft (which happened twice while we there and almost happened to my friend) Not such a good ride.
Outdoor Wavepool
This sets a whole new standard for wavepools. They have it designed so the corners fold, so the waves get more intense the farther you go back. These waves were 8 to around 9 feet high. Which I found pretty darn cool. Very intense, slightly intimidating, and you can ride these babies back into the shore. Very great time.
All in all, besides the horrible drivers, traffic, and the short amount of time we had to spend, it was a great trip. Oh, the Wilderness Body slides....ouch.
