SFgam and HH, May 31st

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby LAFFfan4lyfe on June 1st, 2005, 5:00 pm
So after picking my friend Nicole up at 7:30, we headed out to the park. It was so bad on i-90, we were actually stopped for at least 15 minutes, but you probably want to hear about the trip, not the car ride.

Arrived at the park around 8:50, bad traffic. I got Nicole's ticket using the bring a friend for free cupon, and we waited. Saw Dan and decided to hang with him around 9:25, roughly. When the park opened, no early entrance for season passholders due to the almost dead park, we headed to wait to go to Vu. We started running at 10, but Vu was closed, so we headed to Demon, got two rides since nobody was there.

After Demon, we headed into Southwest Territory, and headed to Raging Bull. The ride briefly broke down while we were waiting for back row, but it was fixed a few minutes later. Rode back row, had fun.

After Bull, it was over to Viper. We all took separate rows for this one, and I rode either row six or seven, don't remember. I tried to look for some of the things hidden in the ride (the alligators, the shark) but didn't see them. I have bad eyes, though i have perfect vision.

After viper, we decided to wait for Vu, which still wasn't open. We were given a time frame, and had lots of people walking up to us asking when it would open. It opened around 12:30, and I got one ride on it in 1b.

After Vu, Nicole and I decided to go to HH for awhile, since she hadn't been there yet. We changed, and rode the blue and green atomic slide first. It was a great ride, but I don't really like when you're in the bowl part and you start to slow down.

After the blue and green atomic slide, we rode the teal slide on that same platform. It looked like the pink and orange and the yellow slides up there weren't running.

After that, we went up and rode both of the body slides. No water in the face this time, i could breathe.

After that, we headed over to Castaway Creek, and rode it 1 1/2 times. It made us closer to the wahoo racers, so we took the slow rate.

The wahoo racers were open, but the orange slides were closed off. I took a teal one, nicole took a yellow one. I couldn't get my mat to move, so I lost, blah!

After that, we headed over to the family slides, and rode the blue one. It was fun...

We got some food, and watched the Karaoke over by the sand and layed out. Not a good idea, i'm paying for it today.

We saw Dan walking around, talking on the phone with Jeff, so we decided to leave HH and go back into the park. He got 8 rides while we were gone, my god.

We walked through county fair, and went to ride AER while Dan at a funnel cake sundae. It was a medium line, but had lots of idiots, a.k.a some of the middle schoolers from one of the various schools. We rode in the third row of AER, had a kinda smooth ride.

We decided to head over to batman, since the IW line was still a bit long, and we rode the second row on batman. No leaves, sorry Dan!

After that, we headed over to V2, which had a station wait. Still it was about ten minutes, and Nicole and I rode in row 5, while dan rode in row 4.

We headed back to IW after V2, since we wanted to aviod Mardi Gras and Orleans Place, and waited for front row for IW. It seemed a bit rough, I actually tried not to hold onto the handles on the restraint.

After that, we went back and rode AER again, it wasn't a long wait at all. The station was mostly empty because all the middle schoolers were leaving then. Middle/junior high kids leaving=empty park.

After AER again, we decided to go over and see how long Vu's line was. It was still a kinda long line, so we went over to Whizzer. That's when all of the short jokes came out. I was called a miget, tiny, and others. I hate both of you for that, we'll see who gets a Christmas card now eh? I got the last car of the second set of cars, and the ride made my back hurt a bit.

We headed back to Vu, still a long line, so it was over to Orbit. These girls were making the ride op over at Orbit laugh, and i thought it was a bit amusing since my sunburn was starting to hurt. It was fun, and after being reminded several times not to get sick  , we rode. There was actually a bit of a line for Orbit, I don't know why, but there was.

After Orbit, we headed back to Vu, and decided to wait to get in. We got into the station, and got the last ride of the night. I sat on the left side of row 3b, and after chanting one more time, we rode again, having to say eeeeeeeeeee for the entire time. One of the ride ops said he'd call security on us if we didn't, it was a joke.

We left the park around 8:30. It was a long day, but it was fun, and since i didn't put suntan lotion on before i went to the park, I'm paying today.

It was a great day, especially since I got 11 Deba Zoo rides.

Other notes:

-Whizzer's Fast Lane sign, the one that says if it is being used today or not, broke in half.
-AE's broken slab of wood was fixed.
-AER was running trimless, no trims at all. (best ride ever!)
-Deja Vu was between 15 and 30 minute wait all day

Weather: Sunny, about 78 degrees
Rides Closed: IMS, LR (opened later), Hometown Fun Machine, Stargate SG 3000, Condor, AEB
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer
Marathon down, Goofy to go.

Cong-rats on the 50+ Vu rides Dan. Hopefully you can get 60 tomorrow. :) (end sarcasm)

Sounds like a fun day Ally. Wish I could've been there, but school was more important. I hope AER stays trimless for awhile.(But I doubt it.) Doesn't the sun suck?

But now that Dan has hit 50 on Vu, Jeza is looking VERY fun right about now. Dan, you may have hit 50 first, but let's see who gets 100 first. :D Ladies and Gentlemen, stay tuned. 8)
