5/15 - Scenic Railroad Train Down!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby forest4585 on May 15th, 2005, 10:42 pm
Greetings everyone! Here's my first report on my second trip of the year:

As was stated in previous reports, the crowds were minimal today. It looked like it was gonna rain all day but never happened. A couple of highlights today:

-The people from the Verb commercial thing was over by Southwest Territory today. They were handing out Verb bracelets and playing music. They didn't really interact with people and didn't really seem to serve a purpose.

-A man puked after Raging Bull and his group of buddies said with laughter "Dude, we set our goal for today". Great friends! :D

-It seemed like a lot of characters were there today. Great for the kids!

Now will come to the lowlight:

THE SCENIC RAILROAD TRAIN BROKE DOWN!

Here's what happened...We started out over by the station in county fair. We got over to where Viper is and the train broke down! We sat there for over 25 minutes waiting for the maintenace people fix it. One maintenance guy was kicking the wheel to put it back in place. Way to go Bob Villa! There were 3 maintenance people working on the train and about 4 six flags employees talking to the guests on the train. It wasn't too bad, but geesh for all the rides to break down in the park, the railroad train is dead last on my list!

My wife and I had a blast in the park! We'll be going back in a week or two.

Very nice trip report. Sorry to hear the train broke down. Did it finally get up and running or did they have to evacuate everyone off the train?

I bet it was those dang kids putting nickles on the train tracks.
