I don't see a trip report for Friday night, so I'll write one. As you probably know, it was the Kiss FM buyout. We got there at about 4:35 and there was a line to get into the park, but no line to get tickets. So we bought tickets. This was by far the worst part of the day. I checked online and I thought that the tickets were only $28. We ended up paying $36 for some reason. Was it an online special? Well... whatever. We just had to go with it. Then, we heard the national anthem and it probably only took like 10 minutes for everyone who was there that early to be let in to the park.
Then, we went to the bridge where we waited for like 15 minutes for the chain drop. We didn't see Deja Vu testing, but we went there anyways. We were the first ones to get there, but it said it was temporarly closed. So, we sprinted to SW territory and went on Giant Drop. We were the first ones there and my group of 4 were the only ones to go on it. While we were on it, we saw Deja Vu testing so we ran over there. We got in line and went on the back row on the second train of the day. After that we went to Demon back row (another walk on) Another surprisingly good ride.
If you haven't guessed by now, the park was basically empty. to be empty.
Then, we went to Raging Bull. We waited 1 train to get the back row. We went again in the second last row and it was a walk-on. Then, we went one more time in the back. I got loads of airtime on the last ride. I also checked out Hurricane Harbor while going up the lift hill. It seems like the slides wouldn't be that intense. They also seem like they are very short. Does anyone else notice this or is it just me?
By this time, it was almost 6:00, so we decided to hit Viper. On the way we went on Chubasco, which was more fun than I remembered it to be. Viper was like a 20 minute wait because they refurbished one of the trains and it had to go through a certain number of empty run-throughs. I went on seat 1:3. It was a decent ride. I still think they need to bank some of the turns though.
I'm not quite sure what we went on after Viper, but I think it was V2. We had to wait in line for 1 train to go, and then we went on the third last row. It was pretty good. Then, we went again on the fourth row because it was no wait.
After V2 we went to Batman. The Superman line was to long, so we passed over it. We rode Batman twice: once on the second last row and once on the second row. It seemed faster than I remembered it.
After Batman, we went to Revolution. We only rode it once, but it was a walk on. Revolution also seemed faster than last year.
Next we went to American Eagle. We went on back row the first time. It wasn't a very good ride because the person who checked my harness pushed it down really hard and it kind of ruined all the air time. After that, we re-rode it on the second last row because someone got on the last row. This ride was much better, but still not the best. We went on the same row one last time, and it was an amazing ride that time. I got loads of air time.
Then we went on Iron Wolf. That was not a good ride. The guy actually checked to make sure that your legs were straight up. It hurt.
After that, we went to Hometown Square to get my pass processed. I got it along with the coupon book in about 3 minutes. We also watched a little bit of Twista (I think) while we were there. By now, it was like 8:45.
We went to Deja Vu next, and I wanted to go front row. We waited for about 20 minutes and then we finally reached the front of the line. Then, the employee told us that we would have to wait another train. We thought it was because of testing, but it ended up that Akon, his mixer, and his girlfriend (maybe???) were going on in front of us. We talked to him a bit and the people next to us got a picture. I forgot a camera.....I'm still mad at myself for that. Then we went on it and it was the best ride I'd had all day.
By now it was about 9:00, and I was supposed to be leaving by 9:30. We went to Raging Bull to finish out the day, but when we got there the line was at least 45 minutes, so we went on Giant Drop. Then we stopped at Orbit and did that quick.
We decided to do Rajun Cajun next. The line didn't move for over 5 minutes, so we went on. We went on East River Crawler, which was a pretty cool ride actually. We rode that twice. Then, we went to Jesters Wild Ride. We were the only 4 people on there and the guy went through almost a 3 minute speech about how we should keep our hands inside the car and stuff like that. We were laughing so hard. We were going to go on one by one after that to see if he would still give the speech, but we decided not to.
By now it was 9:35, and we were supposed to be heading to the exit. On the way, though, we saw Superman was open (It was closed earlier). we ran up the steps to the back row. After the other train came back, we were excited because it would be our first ever walk on for Superman. I guess we should learn not to push our luck, though, because the train in the station got stuck. It didn't have any passengers on it, but the seats wouldn't go down. We ended up waiting (and making fun of the people who were stuck on the ride) for about 45 minutes. They finally got it to work. When the broken train was finally fixed, they got it to complete the circuit, and then they took it off of the track. Then, we got on. It was a good end to the day. By the time we got done with that, it was about 10:30. I had to get up the next morning for a 7:30 am soccer game, which is why we were supposed to leave earlier.
So anyways, for all the people who don't want to read all of the jibberish that I just wrote, here was my ride count.
