Weather: Rainy and cloudy in the morning. Then sunny and sort of hot.
Crowds: Low-Moderate. It seemed busy, but it wasn't.
Time in park:9:30am-7pm
Rides closed: DejaVu and Ice Mountain Splash
So my dad told me I could go to the park, even though I had no one to go with. No big deal. I would just be by myself, just as I did closing day last year. We get the park in an hour and 20 minutes and I see the ops cleaning Superman. The parking lot wasn't very packed.
I get right through the entrance, and I go to wait at the Hometown Square bridge. At about 9:45, a kid(who was wearing a fearsome five shirt of Cedar Point) and his friend, come over and stand right next to me. I then realized that SixFlagsguy5 had said he would be wearing that shirt so I had to check it out. It turned out that it was him, and we ended up hanging out the whole day.
We decided that we were running to Bull first. At 10, the girl at the bridge was starting to make it so we would walk to the place, then she made it into a race and we were off. On the run, 2 people slipped and fell because of the wet midway and we ended up 3,4,5 to Bull. We decided that we would wait for the second train to get the first row together. Bull was running yellow and red(as it did all day) and it was running pretty good. Very light trims on the 3rd hill, but a noticeable trim before the figure-8.
Next we headed for Giant Drop, where it was walk-on. Not much to say there. We decided to ride Great America Raceway for the heck of it, and we appeared to be the first riders of the day. Good times, good times!
SixFlagsGuy5 loves AE, so we headed there next. Both sides were surprisingly running today. Blue Backwards was first, where SFG5 and his friend rode in the normal front and I rode behind them. We got to ride twice in a row. It was walk-on. It was running pretty good, but the breaks were on hard today, except for the last trims. Next we headed over to Red Forward, where we decided to ride the front row. That is where we saw Virtua Tennis, DanHockey04, and then Sfgamshockwave(Nolan?). It was a great ride, except for the fact that it started to pour and it felt like bullets hitting our faces. It was about a 5 minute wait.
Iron Wolf was next, where we waited about 2 trains for the back row. It was intense as ever and running great. While on the lift, I noticed that yes, Shockwave is still there, and there are a lot of trucks in the employee lot, which should be used for the waterpark.
We went to V2 front row next. We waited about 15 minutes. They went first, and then I went. We did notice that there appear to be sensors at the corners of the station, which are possibly to be able to stop the train if people come into the station? I'm sure that they have always been there though. A 15 minute wait for B:TR was now in store. We waited for a great front-row ride.
Then we headed to Ragin' Cajun, where all but 3 switchbacks were being used. SFG5's friend didn't want to ride, so he rode Roaring Rapids. The line for RC took about 35 minutes and went pretty fast. While in line, we had some conversations with ACE'rs who were regulars at the park. They said that they post at Coasterbuzz. It was fun. We eventually rode the ride with them and we got a lot of spinning. 5 cars were running. Something interesting that I had learned from the op, was that they plan on adding a 7th car this year. She also said she was told that the park had 12 cars in total and eventually planned on running 9, when the can get the cars to go through the station without stopping.

King Chaos was stuck while we were in line for RC, but eventually re-opened. All 3 of us decided we would ride and waited 5 minutes for a back-row ride. We got a total of 3 flips and the ride was better than the last time that I had ridden it. They have a new cart for loose articles. It looks like they stole it from K-Mart. lol jk.
We were getting hungry, so we went to eat at Aunt Martha's. On the way, we stopped and looked at the Fright Fest display. They have a lot of cool music, which I hope is played in the park this year. I also loved the fright fest 'smell'.

Next we went and rode Viper, which was a walk-on, but someone threw up, so it was a 10-15 minute wait. SFG5's friend already got to ride, so we started a conversation with this couple behind us. They were very nice, and we told them that they were riding in the best seat.(1:3). As were we. Then we finally got to ride, and we had a great ride.
Raging Bull had a pretty short, 15 minute wait. We decided to ride back-row, where we saw Virtua Tennis, SfGamShockwave, DanHockey04, and Plane(a)360.(You learn something new every day.) We also saw Brad's notebooks. With a laminated map on one of them. Pretty cool if you ask me. We had a great ride with awesome airtime. This is where I noticed even more contruction trailers, located by Viper. BTW, Bull's last trim was off for our ride.

Giant Drop had a short wait, so we mini-marothoned for 3 rides within 10-15 minutes. It is awesome when you put your arms and legs out. It was also priceless when a girl was asked to show her hands and took offense to it.

Next we took a quick ride on Demon, which was walk-on. 6:1 is definately the best row and SFG5 agreed(I think.) Since Splashwaterfalls is rumored to be removed, we thought we would ride. The line was very short(with 2 boats) and maybe 5 minutes long. We sat second row and the people in row1 had a broken lap bar, and the ride op still sent the boat out. Maintenace was called after we got off. We were soaked.
Next we took walk-on rides on AEB and AER. Both of which were still running greats with pretty hard trims. Now we saw a sign which said that today was Muslim Family Day. No wonder we saw a lot of Muslims. Logger's Run was next, which was walk-on. I sat in the back, so I wouldn't get wet. When we went down the drop, 2 little people in front of me ducked down, so they wouldn't get wet. Nice guys.

They went to eat at Angelo's(Security!) and I went to wait for Ragin' Cajun again. Only 2 swtichbacks were being used and I waited 15 minutes. I rode with a nice little family, and we got tons of spinning. Then I played a little trick on the others.(lol) I'm still not sure if they understood that.
Batman was next, and it was already walk-on. We rode the back-row and had a crazy and intense ride. We ran around again for another walk-on, back-row ride. Great again. Then when we got back we got off, but noticed there was only 1 little girl in our row, so we hopped on for another back-row ride. There was very minimal stacking with very friendly ride-ops.
I was going to ride Superman, but it still had about a 20 minute wait, so I passed. Whizzer had a station wait, but no one else wanted to ride, so I said screw that. So we headed back to Viper, where there was a 5 minute wait. Someone almost got to ride by themselves, but someone didn't execute it!

To end the day for me, we got 2 more rides on AEB(walk-on with a swtich of rows). It was great and then SFG5 and his friend went to ride Red and I had to leave.
Just a few notes:
1. Lines were pretty good all day.
2. Some girl a Triple Play thought I called her a squirrel.
3. There were a lot of families today.
4. There were alot more staff at work today. More than I thought there would be.
5. I believe IMS and DejaVu were both closed due to staffing.
6. Demon was making a very weird noise near the bottom of the lift.
Overall, I had a great and unpredictable day. I made a new friend(right?) and I met a lot of members from this site.
Until next time......
