SFGAm August 12th

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on August 12th, 2004, 10:43 pm
We got there at 11. I could see that there was a crane by the beginning of SUF's lift hill and the station was empty, no trains on the track. Strange. Anyways I headed straight to Vu. 1 hour wait for 1A with 4 switchbacks open.

I headed over to Bull, finding a short line. 15 minute wait for back row. I decided to get back on, the line was a bit shorter. 10 minute wait for back row. Then I went to Viper, waited 25 minutes for 1:3. 1:3 is awesome. :)

As I walked past Triple Play I decided to go on that. Walk on pretty much. I love this ride. I headed into Mardi Gras to look at the lines. Ragin' Cajun looked as if it was broken down. I got in the short line for KC. Okay, for some reason, every time I go by this ride and it has a short line, I feel the need to go on it. It's a pretty good ride of course.

I stood at Ragin' Cajun's entrance for a minute, then decided to get in line for Jester's. Before I was about to get on, it looked like Cajun was about to open back up, so I ran back over there. 20 minute wait with 4 switchbacks open, even though I pretty much walked through 2 of those switchbacks. Awesome ride.

Went to get a quick ride on BTR - geez, 8 minute wait for back row, I was surprised, cause the end of the line was past the fastlane entrance. Then I had some lunch at Angelo's. After that, I looked at V2's line, too long. Went to Iron Wolf instead - 20 minute wait for back row.

Next was Revolution. 5 minute wait, great ride. Got in line for AE, Blue had barely anyone in the station so I went on that first. Five minute wait for front. Then I got in line for AER, 20 minute wait for front row. I love the front on AER, it's so awesome.

After that, I went on Demon. 10 minute wait for 6:1. I met coastrcorey while in line. Then we headed to IW, waited 10 minutes for row 6. One of Corey's friends had a headache, so they went out to their car. I headed into Southwest Territory. Got on Giant Drop in about 15 minutes.

I rode Bull again, with a 15 minute wait for back row. Went on King Chaos after that, 5 minute wait.

I was desperate for a ride on V2, so I headed there, hoping the line would be a lot shorter than it was earlier. Yes, it was. While I was in the station, I wasn't paying attention to the ride... I think it had just launched, and it got stuck right before the spiral tower. The breakdown only lasted about 5 minutes. 20 minute wait for front row.

Next was BTR. Wow, almost no line. Walked on it 4 times in a row. :D I got in line for V2 again, waited 20 minutes for front row.

I headed toward Raging Bull... But as I was walking toward Revolution, I noticed it had no line, so I got in line, had to wait for the ride to end. When I was on, it started up for like 3 seconds, and then stopped. The breakdown only lasted 7 minutes. It was pretty cool. Another great ride on Revy...

I ran to Bull, since it was nearly 8. Waited 15 minutes for back row. Awesome way to end the day.

When you left, was the crane at SUF still there? That's quite a good day you had. Was SUF working the night before? How many times did KC flip you upside down? V2 is having some problems this year. How is Angelo's? I believe that's the place across from East River Crawler.

-Yes, it was still there. I didn't get a close look at it, so I don't know what was going on. And yes, it was running last night.
-Three times.
-Yeah, it's pretty good, I used to eat pizza there, but lately I've been having pasta. It's good.

Superman was open wednesday, but it shut down about half way through CAD. Didn't expect it to be anything quite this big though.

I was told SUF is now closed for three weeks. Did anyone else hear this?

Hey, I'm goin' later this afternoon with my mom, my dad, and my sister. Does anyone want to meet me in line for something?
You see I like the cubs and the white sox. If it came down to the world series I'd pick the cubs.

This happened Wednesday also I assume, I was over eating some pizza when I relized VU hadnt been going for awhile, so when we were done we walked over there and the train was between the station and the spiral. Must have been a longer wait that time though as station and line was empty :/

It could be possible. I think something might have happened with the chain lift or something with the motor for the lift.

I remember on CAD night, while I was walking past SUF around 11 or so, it was barely going over the top of the lift hill.

EDIT: Just added pics to my webshots.

Hey DejaVuGurl, those are some of the best pictures of the park that I have seen in awhile, especially the one with the sunset behind Demon, Dejavu, and Raging Bull.

Thanks. I don't think they're all that great because of the clouds, but they came out better than I thought they would.
