July 21 - Coasters After Dark (and the green haired people)

Let us know how your day at the park was.

So here's the day:

We arrived at the park at about 5:15. I noticed a round Six Flags sign in front of the Carousel. I'm not sure how long it has been there. We went on Viper first, about a 25 minute wait. We went on Demon, 10 minute wait. While we were in line, Deja Vu was testing. The line for that was going out past Deja Vu games. It never opened. Next, I went on Backwards Blue, 3 minute wait. We skipped forwards, Iron Wolf (it was temporarily closed due to weather conditions), and V2. We went on Batman, wait was just past the storm drain access. When we were in line, someone with green hair was turned down after trying to use a FastLane that, I guess, wasn't vaild.

After that, we skipped Superman, since the line was going past the logo. On the way there, we saw that King Chaos wasn't open. We went back over to Raging Bull, and the line was about a quarter of the queue house full. I saw the kid with the green hair again. He had used his FastLane to cut in front of me. Apparently, on Superman, they were using a red permanent marker instead of a punch, and he and his friend were spitting on it, trying to get in another ride. It didn't work.

We went back to American Eagle to go forwards, but Blue had just broken down. Everyone from blue went to red and the line was at the split. We walked right into the station on the blue side and it opened 10 minutes later. We went back past Iron Wolf and headed towards the front of the park. We stopped at Flags to get some candy, then left at about 9:00. It was really starting to get crowded from Coasters After Dark, and I had already done much of the park anyways.

It sounds like a bummed four hours even though the weather was supposed to be bad. I don't know about you, but if I only went for four hours, that would be one bad day. I was kind of mad on Friday because I only got five hours.

Vu was supposed to be open but stuff happens (wait, when doesn't stuff happen with Vu?).
Anyway I add that all of they cycles were done BY MAINTENENCE and the operators were saying that the ride would not open.

Yeah, Vu was testing a bit, but there wasn't even a crew so I didn't hold much hope. Yesterday was a sweet day. We got a lot of rides in. I was hoping that huge downpour around 2:00 would scare everyone away, but it didn't really. Luckily we were in the car eating lunch when it rained and came out dry after it stopped!

CAD was a lot of fun. Got 1 AE blue, 1 BTR, and 3 V2. It was a bit more crowded than I thought it'd be, but hey, it was an extra couple hours so I won't complain.
