Got there around 7:30 pm after work and met my friend Matt(shortkid) there. We went on Batman around 3 to 4 times(we got stuck on the ending brakerun for like 5min due to Guest Illness in the station) in a row before it started rain a little bit. Then we went again and by that time the heavy rain that would soon follow started.
So we go on Batman again an it was like B:TR the water ride. By that time we were already some what wet so we went on Loggers Run twice in a row just to get soaked and get it over with since we knew we were gonna get soaked anyway.
On the way back to B:TR Matt was running and slipped in a puddle about 2 to 3 inches deep , it was hilarious. We go on B:TR and it was like a water ride again which was awsome. After that we made are way to the front of the park to leave and walked in the heavy rain all the way there and through all the puddles as well.
All in all it was a pretty cool day, I liked getting soaked in the rain and on Loggers Run.
You should have seen the rain, it was coming down in buckets. The park had huge, deep, puddles everywhere. in my opinion, it is one of the best days I have had at SFGAm, just walking through all that and getting to ride B:TR and Loggers Run in the rain was awsome and it wasn't crowded.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
wow, good thing I didn't go today, I hate rain, ruins everything!
I was actually planning on going today, but instead the weather kept me home, I did however see Spider-Man 2 today.....WOW! WOW! Go see it.......
Yep, I know what your talking. I went to SFGAm in late October or was it November (last day I believe) and rode SUF and BTR in the rain and cold, and they were awesome. Whenever it starts raining, they should cover the BTR sign and put up a Mr. Freeze one instead. "Take a chill pill."
I bet they were running everything except maybe D Vu because of 90 degree angle and V2 if it was open (which it's not). If it's really raining, they see lightning, or too windy with rain, they close "outdoor" rides.
It was great, no one was there especially at night. However, the costume characters were bored to death so some of hung out across from Condor in that food place.
Whenever, it rains, the people that are left are the ones who are really dedicated to making the most of a day at SFGAm. They are usually the "true" SFGAm fans.
11/2/04--
*Longest wait of the day: Deja Vu, 10 mins(one train wait )
*B:TR, Five times w/out getting off; never been so dizzy in my life.
*American Eagle's return run was actually fun because of the rain.
Anyway, nice TR and glad you made the most of your day and still had fun, despite the rain.
