Wisconsin Dells - 6/3 & 6/4

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SFGA 11 on June 5th, 2004, 4:08 pm
My class and I left at about 8:30 on Tuesday for our class trip, and headed off to Wisconsin.

Arrived at about noon or so and went on the Ducks. They were ok but kind of boring to me. After the Ducks we headed off to Mt. Olympus Theme Park.

We bought our tickets than headed straight to Cyclops. Good ride but I expected more from it. Then went to Zeus. Great ride. Blows AE away. We went on most of the go-kart tracks. One of the honorable mentions was the Medusas Drop. Amazing. It has a huge drop, and has nice air suprisingly. The drop is about 30 ft. id say. Went on Zeus and Dive to Atlantis a couple more times than left.

At at Paul Bunyans then back to the Kalahari. This hotel is huge. Went to our room then went to water park. Only slides I went on was Victoria Falls, Master Blaster, and another one (cant think of name). They wre all good, but I dont like slides too much. My friends and I tried out the Flow Rider, and I made a huge idiot of my self on it.

Next morning went to eat and did water park again then left.

Ride Totals:

Mt. Olympus Theme Park
Zeus - 5x
Cyclops - 2x
Pegasus - 1x
Turbo Track - 1x
Medusas Drop - 2x
Poseidon - 1x
Trojan Horse - 1x
Bumper Boats - 1x
Dive to Atlantis - 1x

Kalahri
Master Blaster - 7x
Victoria Falls - 1x
Flow Rider - 1x
Other slide - 2x

Overall it was great trip, even though it was short. BTW, drove past Avalanched, construction is looking good they have most of it done I think. Hades is also coming along nicely.

The Kalahari kicks butt. My sister, her husband, my friend and I were there memorial day weekend and I made a fool of myself on flowrider too. The Kalahari is the only place we stay at in the dells. I love Mount Olympus too!

I cant wait to ride the wave rider at the Kalahari. I've always wanted to go on one of those. The lady (forget her name) from ABC7 news did it on this segment about summer vacations, close and affordable. If she can do it, I CAN TO!!!! Good TR. Sounds like you had a great time! (P.S. Paul Bunyans is the bomb of all sit down resturaunts in the Dells. And, did you go to the Wonder Spot? )

Great Wolf is awesome too! We go there when we want to relax because it is not as busy. Great idea for a resort.. northwoods. But when we want to have some fun we head to Kalahari.

Usually we'll stay at the Wilderness..(waterpark for hotel guests only) and it suites me well. (Especially when I make the raft on that big waterslide spin like crazy) But, we will go to the Kalahari for an hour or tweo. But now I'm just goin for the wave rider!

Flowrider is fun but 1 out of every 5 people make a fool out of themselves I would say! :) I miss timed my jump the first time I tried, and I didn't even make it down, the wave pushed me back all the way to the wall! Then I tried again, but still did bad, and made a fool out of my self according to my friends

The Wilderness is an awesome place to stay. It had awesome condos, 3 indoor waterparks, 2 outdoor waterparks, and Wilderness on the Lake. Kalahari was also nice, but I enjoyed the Wilderness much better because of the location of actually being in the Wilderness.

I'm guessing I didn't like Cyclops that much because I rode in a bad row. I rode in the second car, because the last two cars were "broked" the worker said. BTW, I forgot to mention this, NONE of the employees spoke English properly, most of them didnt even speak English.

Even if the back 2 rows were "broked", you should have sat in the furthest back row that was operational.

That second drop on Cyclops near the back of the train is a religious experience.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Yeah, but there was no line for the row we went in and there was for all the other rows. We didn't fell like waiting.
