May 2nd report!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Tomo_kun on May 2nd, 2004, 8:01 pm
So, today was fun going on opening weekend.
I get to the park and i immidiatly get my pass processed, the weather was nice, i only needed my jacket on when i was on rides. For pass processing this year, they give you the pass immidiatly and your coupon book.
I rode HomeTown Fun machine for the first time since 1998, and, its much much slower since 98'
Next stop, whizzer, walk on, otherwise, nothing special.
Then the viper, nothing really change other then it was a walk on.
We stop at the arcade, i play some DDREXTREME. Nothing special, its still the crapped-up bootleg machine from last year, the pad isnt the best. Its full of dust.
We go to raging bull, ten minute wait. The teal car was NOT running.
We hit ricochet, then play some more DDREX with crouds (w00t).
This one is really crazy. We go to the mexican fry stand, and we order a cup and some fries. The lady charges us $0.99 for the souvenier cup!!!! We try to correct her, but she wouldnt!
Next stop, Revolution, rode it twice, regretted it.
the arcade by the egal has a crappy DDRMAX2 machine, next to silent, cant pass the simpelest songs with the crappy arrows.
Rode the egal backwards and forwards, and the red car is REALLY intence.
We saw batman, and where HIGHLY dissapointed. Marquett colors? Why?!
Mardi-Gras is going really well, i think it will be done in a week and a half at the rate its going.
Deja-Vu didnt break down at all for the time i saw it, the line was 40 minutes though :(.

We rode superman, and, they made us hold our nearly full soda cup. Its really stupid that they dont let you hold anything in that empty space.

All and all, it was a nice trip.
That Krazy kid on the DDR machines!

Yeah, I couldnt beleive they make you hold it on there, On other rides they had no problem letting us leave it in the station, but on saturday at the bottom of the stairs the lady told me twice I would have to ride with it. So we emptied the ice out and I put it between me and the otsr. Problem was when we got into break run, they kept us there for a good 2 minutes, my chest was pretty sore for awhile after that :(

We just hold it with our hands.

They made people in the station, complete strangers, hold other peoples stuff, INCLUDING A VIDEO CAMERA!! I mean, sure, it isnt the best thing to leave it at the station, but in a STRANGERS hand!?!

Haha, yesterday while in line for Superman a ride op asked the people infront of us to hold onto a box of shoes that somebody had picked up in gurnee mills earlier that day, and decided to bring into the park with him I guess? The thing was, those were TMAC 3.5's and I'm surprised they weren't stolen.
