That is the stupidest question I have ever heard, and to answer your question, no the seatbelts installed on viper and eagle are prototype seatbelts that actually INCREASE airtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHA. You guys are soooo funny. Anyways, I would imagine that the load times for eagle will NOT be effective but, possibly for viper. Viper is a little shorter then eagle. So That's my bet.
I don't think the seat belts were really meant to keep you strapped to the seat, just to keep you in the car in case the lap bar comes up or was not pushed down far enough. if I'm right, a belt going over the divider would work just fine.
and, from my experience, belts don't take away from the air. it could be argued that they turn ejector air into floater air, but I doubt that'll be the case with a belt that stretches across the divider.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
Actually the Seatbelts are there for one reason only, if someone flys out and the seatbelt is unlatched, then the park has proof that the rider negated the safety devices and got what was coming, a good cover your butt tactic. As after that girl fell out of Raven the fact that she removed the seatbelt and tucked in between the seat cushions was pretty damning on her behalf, and that prevented any litigation of any sort.

Excellent Pictures Scott! That makes me even more excited for this season! I think that Batman looks great, and the new paint job looks better than complete black.
Though I am not a big fan of seatbelts on rollercoasters (it's all about the airtime baby ), I can see the reasoning behind this after the Raven incident last year. It's unfortunate that most parks have to turn to this, because of these incidents. I do support the safety reasons though .
From what it sounds like, they really have not ruined the ride experiences of Viper or Eagle, so that also makes me happy.
Can't wait for Memorial Day weekend and Rajun Cajun!
Im guessing it's oil from the train or something...or hydrolic oil from the crane that put it together. That would be the reason why it doesn't come off in rain.
I have spots on my house now from Hydrolic oil that blew from the crane at the construction site next door to me, it only comes off if you scrub it - water/rain won't wash it off.
Our Deja Vu isn't the only Vekoma with these spots, I have seen it in pictures of other Vekoma's as well. I noticed when I was at SFMM thier Deja Vu had spots but it wasn't nearly as bad as ours was.
Face Off at PKI has some spots as seen here. The former Serial Thriller at TPFKA SFWoA also has some spots as can be seen here.
Now that I finnally figured out exactly where the path stretches (took me a little to long there, lol) I think that's cool that they're gonna do a show right in front of Columbia. I can see someone running on the path and pushing a charector in .
