6-26-10 /-\ TO WALK OR NOT TO WALK?!

Let us know how your day at the park was.

June 26, 2010 - A Walk in the Park!

This Saturday was 'A Walk In The Park', although I was unable to participate, I bought park food all day so that I can help with the horrid 2% the park is giving to cancer research. Anyways, I got quite a few pictures. Giant Drop had a hellofa bad time, It broke down twice, and the final time a car was stuck at top for quite a while. Then soon after it was slowly brought down, and the maintenance people we're working on it for about two hours after that. Bull crew SUCKED! 45 seconds off the timer, and on our ride, 205 seconds! STACKING! :/ (I shouted 'CAPACITY!!!' and they started moving faster. haha)

Sky Trek Tower is looking as good as ever! Sadly, it wasn't running today.

Condor. Such fabulous memories. <3

The cloud covered sky made for a nice backdrop to some pictures.

The Puke Train (#2)

Demon want's his train back! GIVE IT BACK! muaaahahaah!

We we're chosen to hold this! Yay! It was a 45 minute wait.

Image
Viper was having a good day.

Image
I heard some kids (7-9) saying that Raging Bull should 'go away' and they should put a big coaster there. What's a big coaster?

Image
With the age of whizzer, I was quite surprised with the minimal amount of rust. Compared to Batman, i say their equal.

Image
I really like the Six Flags logo color on this. It was very nice.

Whizzer, a family coaster is advertising GROWN UPS. And I mean, who the hell puts the same exact ad twice on one wall.

Ended the day with on Whizzer with a friend.

I don't think the letters are coming back. How long does it take to repaint them? Or it's possible that their getting new letters that don't look like their from the 40s.

I don't know what is going on with the Condor letters, but if they aren't there now, they will not be able to be put back on until after the park goes back to being closed on weekdays.

They can do whatever they want. This is not Raging Bull. This is Condor. And it should only take maybe a day.

Can't they remove the lettering piece, and put them on, and put it back up?

I don't see why the park has yet to do it. I mean, what can they be doing with them? Unless their totally re-creating them. I would love (as I said earlier) some MODERN letters. ahahaha! At least the Blue Condor is doing well. Was the tower repainted this off-season when it went down?

Nice pics David. How does that whole "random yellow ticket" thing work? I don't think I've ever seen that before.
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!

Thanks! The whole dealy with the tickets is this:

The front attendant gives you a white slip that has the Six Flags logo, and a sequence of numbers. Once you reach the FLASH PASS attendant, you hand them the ticket. If it's more than like 10 people out of order, they look at the sequence behind you, to check if you jumped in line. Pretty nice way of doing it.

The back says something like: "IF YOU ARE CAUGHT LINE JUMPING YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE PARK WITHOUT A REFUND! Enjoy your ride!"

What is it for again? So Condor, Revolution and Triple Play were down for quite a bit 2005/2006. Not sure on the dates.

It would be great if they enforced that policy. I watched a bunch of jr. high school kids line jump on The Dark Knight. This was also seen by a ride attendant. I thought I was going to get to see these little jerks run out of the park. Nope. The ride attendant went over to them, asked them something, and they all shrugged and pointed around. That was it.

I don't know what they could be doing with them, but last year they all weren't lighting up correctly (1 or 2 letters).

Possibly they are making them into the lights that are used for the Glow In The Park parade?

I wonder though with the Condor if this is one of the projects they were going to do something about adding letters on the top - like LED letters, and Al Weber is like, hey we don't need to get new letters, and now they are limbo.
