After work, my mom and I went into the park. We stopped into Flags and bought a few t-shirts for family. I had an hour to get a couple rides in so after realizing Clipper and Logger's lines were horendously long, (as expected) I rode Revvy. Only a 1 cycle wait and my 2nd ever ride on it. I decided to close out my day at Demon. It was running 3 trains so the line was at the beginning of the switchbacks near the station. I took last row on black train and enjoyed it as usual. Wish I had more to write but it's been a while since I've done a TR. Peace.

The line for BB really never is long....and that has more to do with its huge capacity versus the "popularity" spiel which everyone resorts to right away for some reason.

Thats BS, Rapids is getting more riders than BB (even with slightly lower capacity) and its been there since the 80s. Im sure BB is fun spraying people but most people arent interested in riding it.
You're all right, instead of BB, they should have put in the launched 500 foot 4D-Inverted wooden coaster. Quit complaining and be glad it isn't still a giant bare spot.

I would have been happy with a 240 foot but whatever
Because people like you could care less about the other benefits of the park that others can enjoy. Cedar Point is great for high thrills, so maybe you'll stop complaining and be happy there.

BB- It's about a three minute ride. so 80 per 3 minutes. there are 40 3's in an hour (I know I'm sounding like a baby) which means its capacity is 3200 people per hour. That's about the same as pirates of the caribeen at disney. Now, everytime I go to pirates, there's no line. IS THAT BECAUSE IT'S NOT POPULAR? No, it's because it's a big people mover. BB is actually fun, and it's the wettest ride at six flags (been on all of them)
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal
^For your Pirates of Carribean ride, they have 50 boats according to wikipedia. They probably don't use all of them at a time, but those boats get more than 8 people also.
For Buccaneer Battle, I was on Batman the Ride, and I noticed that 2 boats are sitting out. So, even though they have 10 boats supposedly, they must be using 8.
The way to really figure out the capacity is to count the people in line, and see how many people are on the boats also. For people in line, you just count one row, and if there are 4 rows, you multiple that by number of people. So, time the line length, determine how many people are on the ride at one time, if it's a 5 minute wait, you multiple that by 12, and that's your capacity per hour.
Another way to figure out capacity is look at the turnstyle, and come back in a hour, and look at the turnstyle, or the other way is to look at that the park sheet they write on usually near the operator, and it will tell you capacity for the hour if they write it down, and highest capacity for the year.
My guess is that it's really around 1400. Where do I get this number? Well, the Dark Knight was around 550 when it was running 6 cars, but since it got more cars it's like 700 for 8. Double the Dark Knight by 2 because this has 8, and I would say 1400. Batman the Ride is getting 900 something, but the line right now might be at least 40 minutes. So, if it's 40 minutes, that means there are 600 people in line for Batman the Ride per any minute when it is that time. In my opinion, for Buccanner Battle doing it's job (relieving other rides from crowds), it should get 300 people in line at anytime.
I don't know what Raging Bull has, but it would bet you it might be 1200 capacity, but yet you are waiting a hour to ride it, and not 5 minutes.
The capacities the companies tell people are so fake it's not even funny. Rcdb.com says that Batman the Ride at Magic Mountain is getting 1400 people per hour. Yeah, sure.

The capacity listed on the manfucurers is the max hourly assuming all seats are full and there is very little to no stacking.
which means its capacity is 3200 people per hour. That's about the same as pirates of the caribeen at disney.
My guess is that it's really around 1400.
The capacity difference between POTC and BB is that POTC actually gets over 2000+pph. I can guarentee BB is nowhere near that (not that a ride at a non-destination park ever has been that high capacity). 1400 is a stretch for BB, id bet on it being closer to 1000.
If you want to figure out how many rides a ride got in an hour just look at the turnstyle then come back 1 hour later and look at it again. Take the second number minus the first and thats how many people they got that last hour (except for rides like V2 where the turnstyle is before the station so guests with disabilities are not counted).

Buccaneer Battle has 14 boats and is currently running 10.
I can definitely see who are still complaining about DV's removal and who aren't.
If you can't handle a park with 12 coasters (13 if you count AE as 2), a bunch of flats, parades, shows, and a waterpark included with admission, then take your ass somewhere else. \ IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!!!! STOP WHINING!!!!!
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

trust me, i wish i could. depression takes over when i leave and realize how good it is there
and its just not about thrills there. the fact that it is on a beach, they have better shows, they have the starlight experience at night which is just awesome. the frontier trail beats any scenic area of Six Flags.
That and there seems to be a general lack of annoying people running around bouncing basketballs
^ Why do you get so annoyed ofthe basketballs. Listen, I went to Cedar Point when I was a kid, and all I liked was the snoopy ice show. But, SFGAm I always had tons of fun at with CC and BBNP and shows. And with the capacity thing, I was just saying that BB wasn't getting a wait time. Contrary to your belief, people actually go on BB and liked it

This is because of the Water Cannons outside of the ride....The people who come into the ride where I work wet, it's usually from BB. But they tell me they didn't ride it, just got sprayed by the people who were on it.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
I don't know the capacity on Roaring Rapids, but in my opinion what really slows it down is that in the station they have to have a person at the boat if the people are already buckled, and it's ready to go. That's just so stupid to me. Once they are buckled, I say that they should just go to the next boat that is coming in. Well, how does the operator up top know that those people are buckled? Well, since the employee left, it should be obvious.
Look at Logger's Run or Yankees Clippers, and there isn't a person by each boat sending each one out. It's a different type of thing, but look at the Antique cars, and they have 1 person checking to see if the people are good to go, and than they go to the next one. They don't have 5 workers (1 for each car), and than they have to walk them out of the station.
