Alright well here is a brief month by month breakdown of my incredible 2008 season
March
-I went to opening day of Nickelodeon Universe which was very cool and stopped at Knucklehead's in the Dells on the way home
April
-I went to SFGAm opening weekend which was very cold and windy
May
-I went to Holiday World opening day because I had free tickets from NCC, it was awesome as always.
-I went to Amsterdam and while there I visited the Amsterdam Dungeon which is home to the only roller coaster in the world that is inside a church. I also visited Walibi World while on this trip and Goliath is awesome, and this park made me wonder why SF never had such a nice park in the states?
-I also visited SFGAm for TDK opening, waited 2 hours for it to open and then got the credit and left disappointed.
June
-I went to Coastermania at Cedar Point, which was lots of fun as usual...Although this years was notably better with CP serving coffee and donuts at the entrance (which is helpful at 5:30 in the morning)
July
-I went on a big "East Coaster" trip hitting all the following parks: Cedar Point, Darien Lake, Sea Breeze, Knoebel's, Six Flags Great Adventure, Bowcraft, Rye Playland, Astroland, Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Casino Pier, Fun Town Pier, Dorney Park, Dutch Wonderland, Hersheypark, DelGrosso's, Lakemont Park, Kennywood and Waldameer, all of which were new for me. Top 5 coasters of the trip: El Toro, Ravine Flyer 2, Nitro, Storm Runner, Phantom's Revenge...Great trip, 7 days, 18 parks, about 80 coasters and fun!
-I visited Michigan's Adventure to go finish off my credits there (Mad Mouse and Big Dipper) Thunderhawk is still my favorite SLC but has gotten rougher since it's GL days
-I went with a couple friends and had an "Indiana Domination" trip in which we got every credit in Indiana less Holiday World, the Kiddie at Fun Spot and Steel Hawg
August
-I went on a pretty big Canada trip which featured these parks: Cedar Point, Martin's Fantasy Island, Marineland, Canada's Wonderland, La Ronde, Great Escape, Six Flags New England, Idlewild, Sticker's Grove and King's Island. Top 5 coasters of the trip: Superman - Ride of Steel, Behemoth, Goliath, Comet, Silver Comet. One hell of a trip 6 days 10 parks (one only open 2 days a year) about 50 coasters (or so) some major drama and fun!
September
-I went to Six Flags St Louis for their ACE event and even stopped at Grady's Fun Park on the way down meaning I now have every operating credit in Illinois, yay! oh and EK was great.
October
-I had originally planned on going down to HRP before they closed...Well they closed a week before my trip and 2 weeks after I had booked my trip so we rescheduled to hit: American Adventures, Six Flags Over Georgia, Wild Adventures, Dixieland, Adventure Crossing and Carowinds and as a bonus we encountered the Georgia national fair with 4 bonus credits, woox! Goliath <3 <3 <3 <4
-Halloween Weekend I went down to Orlando and visited: SeaWorld, Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens Africa and Old Town...
I rode over 200 Coasters this season, awesome! My best season so far and I may still have one more trip next month...and the best part is I was able to do all that for less than the cost of 2 TPR trips haha! So thanks to all the friends I hung out with at the parks and went on trips with this season! and thanks for reading.
