10-17-03 :: Oh where oh where is Cpt. Nasty?

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Aero737 on October 18th, 2003, 9:49 pm
We spent more time travling to and from the park then we did in the park. On the way there, a 9 car pile-up happened about 1/2 a mile ahead of us at the 294-94 junction. Took us about 45 min to navigate the issue. Other than that we were on the breaks more times than not on the expressway there. :(Got to the park at 6 (we left at 3). Went right to DeJaVu. Line was just under the cobra roll. One of the memebers in my group had never been on Dejavu, so it was good for him. It was okay for me. We waited 30 min for the back row. It finally broke down when I was in line for it.Getting off DeJaVu we went to AE. The line was under the track for the blue side just after the bridge. The opened up AE blue just when we got in line. AE blue was great. It's been a while since we rode it last.We then went to Necropolis. We looked for Cpt. Nasty but couldnt find him. Went to the Masulume (sp?) of Terror. It was okay. I got dizzy in the tube and lost in the maze. Nothing scared me though. Never saw Jason. We caught a glimpse of the freak show, mainly T2. The main highlight of the night was the port-a-potty. I saw the picture on the site and my friend thought it was a real toilet. I wanted to prove him wrong and stood right in front of it and opened the dang thing. I got a good blast of water to the face. LOL! Some other kids jumped inside the port-a-potty and opened the door when people passed by. Quite funny. After that, we headed to Southwest Scareatory. We got in line for Hellivator. Favorite ride last night. I liked the fog, I liked the bass even better. We got the jet engine sound on the way up.We saw that the line for Raging bull was in the first que house w/ 4 swithchbacks open. We headed for viper instead. No techno comming from Terror Twister. :( Viper was okay. The stupid wolf guy in the line had his mask off and was swearing a lot. Not too good. The ride was good. Best airtime of the night. We were bored and wanted to get food. We drove around the parking lot until 9:30 and left. Good ol traffic got us at the 294-88 interchange. Nothing like putting your car in park on the tollway. :roll:V2 didn't run. That stunk. Sky Trek tower looked good. I asked the DeJaVu ride op where the spotlights were (before they were on) and he wanted to know how I knew they had spotlights. It was an okay day. You people hiped fright fest up too much, it was only good not great.

Yeah we were lucky we got to the accident right after it had happened, so we were able to get around it pretty quick. As Tom said above it was a 5 car pile up and all the cars were totaled, looked like everyone was OK though as they all looked like they were out of there cars and walking around. We couldn't find Captain Nasty either when me, Tom and Chitown went back there, they must have all been on break or something when we went back thier. Tom talked to the guy who was playing Jason at the exit of the Mauseluem of Terror, he had his mask off and said he broke his chainsaw. So that's probably why you didn't see him.Fright Fest was alot better last Saturday then it was last night, it seemed alot of the characters were either hiding or just not thier yesterday.
