Fright Fest 10/18/08

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby JordanSDMF on October 19th, 2008, 3:44 pm
So I went yesterday with friends, and it was the worst Six Flags experience of my life. I took the Metra to Waukegan, and then a pace to Six Flags. It's SO MUCH easier just to drive.

I got in at around 3:00, and got in line for Raging Bull around 3:30. I got on the ride at about 7:00. I seriously waited 3 1/2 hours for Raging Bull. After we got off, we went to our $9.00 locker, and grabbed our stuff.

After waiting in line for most of the day, we went to get food where we waited about 20 minutes to order. We went to that fried chicken restaurant in Hometown Square. The food really made my remember I was in a theme park, but then again, sometimes I love that feeling. I would say go to a Johnny Rockets, or the Panda Express. Like, go to a franchise in the park. Their food is probably best.

Then I went to Giant Drop, (haha I know bad time right after nasty food), and the line wasn't that bad. I got on in about 20 minutes. I love Giant Drop. It scares me EVERY time. Just being at the top, and looking up at the top of the tower, and then hearing nothing but the cars on the express way is the scariest feeling. I always think it will break down at the top, so I get really scared, and then it just drops, and I scream so loud. I love that ride.

Then I met up with more friends that came to the park. We took a break, had a cigarette, and then my friend saved my day. My friend has horrible ADHD, so I guess he got a RAP (ride admission pass), and I got to schedule a Raging Bull appointment.

We went to Necropolis to go in the Mausoleum of Terror. There was a huge line for that, so I sold my ticket to my friend, and ran to Raging Bull to make the appointment. Also, the scary people in Necropolis were being assholes. There were like.. making fun of my friends and I. It was actually bullshit. I flipped out at the little ring girl complain.

I got to Raging Bull, and got on with my friend in like 5 minutes. After this, it was like 9:45, and my friends were in line for V2, so I had to run over to them, because my friend who I went on Raging Bull with had to go catch a ride. It was cold, I was alone, and scared, haha. I saw 2 friends while running to V2 which was comforting. I got to the exit, and I noticed one of my friends was riding alone. He was the last in line. I asked the ride op at the exit if I can just go on with him, and she said yes. So I was so happy to end my day with V2.

This is where the hell started from taking the train. My friends dad left because we came out like 5 minutes late and I guess he was pissed, so we were stranded. It was funny too, because we got out at 10:30 when the park closed at 10:00, and Superman was still running until like 11:00. I ended up getting a ride with a friend in the back parking lot, and we almost got in a crash like 4 times. It was jam packed, and people were just edging in everywhere and cutting everyone off. People kept on almost running into us. We survived because after everyone waited in the parking lot for like 30 minutes, someone FINALLY started to direct traffic.

Overall, it was a decent day, but I want to go a 3rd time to finish it all off. I am sorry, I couldn't get pictures because I lost my camera charger, but I will try and find it if I go again.

OH, and buccaneer battle is coming along. The ground is being molded for the ride and everything. SO depressing. A huge Giant Inverted Boomerang once sat there. And the SWF area is really depressing. WE NEED BETTER FLATS.

Six Flags really needs to fix the crowd issues. Add some flats, and more things for people. And the Flash Passes are just insane these days. it was $215.00 or something for the 5 people I was with, and they ran out of regular ones, which are just stupid for having. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN BUY WITH THAT MONEY???

Did you lose your mind? 3 1/2 hours for Raging Bull? Seriously, are you kidding?! Is that even possible! Oh, and those gold flash passes are nice on days like you went. I would rather wait 15-30 minutes than 2-3 hours.

Yeah, we wanted to buy one, but we didn't have enough money. We are just teenagers, haha. But yeah, I couldn't believe how slow it was going. In the middle of our wait, I noticed they stopped sending out trains, and then there were a bunch of test runs. And the WHOLE queue was full, and went in the midway, all the way to almost the viper entrance. I got in by the basketballs.

We all were like, wow, that was so not worth it.

OH, and the stupid park was serving FROZEN BEVERAGES. I was so thirsty that I had to buy a slushee, and I put my sweater in a locker while in line, and I was shaking the whole line. We met these people in line, so that entertained us for a while. Overall, you have to be really really stoned to actually wait in that line.

I saw some people smoking in line. That's how horrible it was. All of the addicts just couldn't wait anymore.

Someone probably got sick, they send trains empty to unload the ride then clean the puke.

No that will make your wait seem twice as long and it is hell...trust me. And you would come down by the time you got on the ride...again trust me.

Yeah I'm surprised Giant Drop only had a 20 min wait when Raging Bulls had a 3.5 hour wait.

I know how that feels. I waited 3 1/2 hours for Deja vu and didn't end up getting on. It sucked.
