The main reason we (or any "coaster person") went to this park was of course for Boulder Dash, a CCI wooden coaster that navigates around a mountain that has been acclaimed the #1 wooden coaster in the world on many occasion.
The park overall was pretty much what its advertised, a nice little family park. It had some "interesting" theming also. The S&S Screamin Swing was themed to a thunderstorm, and the S&S Drop Tower was themed to time?

When entering Lake Compounces property you park in a gravel lot in the middle of a random forest then walk a bit through the forest, under a highway, into the parks entrance plaza.

The entrance area was very nicely landscaped.

Transport via wagon.

We went on Wildcat first, were the first ones in line and queued up for front row. They cycled the train empty a few times, put disabled riders in front of us, and about 10 minutes later we were on.

Wildcat looked like nothing special but was actually pretty good. Maintained speed pretty well for a small coaster and had some air.

"Down Time" is a S&S turbo drop. The clock actually spun!

The small S&S towers are the best, Down Time being medium sized wasnt that special.

Boulder Dash - The east coasts only mountain coaster!

As I said earlier, its a pretty sweet terrain coaster.

So this is where the Six Flags ride operator training video was filmed! (I realize very few to no people will get that, but thats fine

Wouldve loved to ride it more but It was running 1 train and is a pretty long ride with a line.

Boulder Dash weaving around the mountain.

The soda fountains are the hottest spots in this park.

The lightning themed Screamin Swing.

More of Lake Compounces strange theming in line for "Thunder & Lightning"

This flume looked pretty sweet.

Old school enterprises, taken from the queue line of the dark ride.

Booemrangs suck, this was no exception.

Driving into a park and seeing one of these makes me want to turn around and leave.

More strange theming, the catch car is painted like a shark!

This setting pretty much puts every other Galleon to shame.

Definitley one of the best skycoasters ive been on, the launch tower was right above a cliff and it dove over the lake, and its really tall.

After riding Boulder Dash a few more times, we were on our way to SFNE

Overall Lake Compunce was a nice park with one very good coaster, not somewhere ill be heading back to soon as dont know if I could justify $35 admission + $5 parking for Boulder Dash and loading up on soda but its definitley worth the stop if you havent been there before.
