SFGAm 7/20

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby FRD714 on July 20th, 2008, 10:02 pm
Entered the park at about 9:45. I noticed the big Army tent in the parking lot by Hurricane Harbor right away. I had no idea what was in it until I saw a sign that said "Bumper Cars, or fully loaded Humvees?" Yeah, definitely looked sweet. Too bad I never made it over there to try it out.

Anyways, I headed straight for TDK avoiding longer waits later in the day. I was hoping for a better ride then last time, but that didn't happen. Eh, at least I got to see the whole pre show this time. BTR was next since I didn't ride it last trip. Extremely short wait for this one. Rode somewhere near back. V2 looked like it had a short wait. Hell, it didn't matter, I was riding it either way. Went to the back of the train. I don't get as excited to ride this anymore. I would go 2 or 3 times before going on to the next ride, but those days are over. Actually, I think I'm starting to enjoy the atmosphere and other attractions the park has to offer. It's not all about coasters.

It was time for lunch, and after watching that annoying SF TV host eat at Johnny Rockets, I just had to go there. I was the only one in the place, yet it took 15 minutes to get my food. For $15, it was actually worth it. Not like the crap you get at Papa John's. I finished up my burger, and noticed IW had a short wait. Ha, I think I'll turn around and go to that big white coaster. Went to blue side for a change, and oh was that a mistake. I think I'll ride red for the rest of the season. Something I did notice though was while on the brake run, there were a few bolts laying on the roof of the lift motor house. I guess that's proof a bolt or two will fall off once in a while. Don't worry though, they were just small ones.

I opted out of GD today. Just not feeling it. But wait, what's that? Bull running three trains! And OMG there not stacked. I knew today was a good day. Waited about 20 minutes until I hit the station. Great ride in third row. Viper was next. Another pretty short wait. Back row as always. Damn this ride is just amazing.

I was going to skip Demon, but what the hell it was early still. Line started under the lift, but went by pretty fast. While in line, I overheard a group of girls having trouble finding Dejavu on their park maps. I didn't want to be the one to break it to them that it's no longer with us, so I didn't. They had to have eventually find out..... right?

It was pretty hot now, so Logger's Run was the last before I hit the road. That line dragged, and dragged, and dragged. So all in all it was a decent day. Next trip wont be for a while since I'm going to WDW soon. Expect plenty of photos from that one and a fairly longer report.

Yeah, I went today as well. Just about everything were virtually walk-ons ha. Rode AE Blue and Red back to back, that was cool. And rode every coaster. For a mid/end July weekend day, that kinda shocks me.

The weather was really good, a lil hot, but I won't complain. I was a sweat ball by the time me and my crew got in line for Bull, which was towards the end of the day.

It was a really good day.

Kyle

PS. Sorry to thread jack, but I wanted to elaborate more on your post from my perspective as well.
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.

^Hell no. SFGAm could have booked a rock band or two for gods sake.

And why didn't they keep that guy that plays the guitar in SWT? That was good entertainment.
