June 27th. Pics and Vids! Surveyors Sighted!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby rcoaster on June 28th, 2008, 4:43 pm
The weather forcast for Friday... Strong Gusty Storms, high possibility that they may be Severe.
Outcome: A 5 minute drizzle.
Our plan was to get a ride to teh park, and then take the bus from the park back to Schaumburg.
Ahh... GOOD DAY!
We got to the park at 10. We head twoard Superman and TDK, but they weren't letting people in yet. We zoom pass and go on batman.
Image
Two times back row! I love the back row.. They let us re-ride becuase there was no one in line.

Image
Next was V2. A two-minute wait for front! Good ride. I love the speed. I also love watching people's heads slam back when the ride launches.

After V2, we went on Cajun. Got a good spin on it. The Op asked us if we liked the ride. We said TDK was better and he said that we are the first peopel to ever say that. We told him TDK was a great ride and he agreed.

Image
Up next.. Our first ride on the Bull! We took back row! A great ride as always!
But... Later in the day, bull had some downtime with the train stuck in the mid block. The ride started with two train operation, then moved to three trains.

Image
Image
Here is our first weird sighting. People by Deja Vu's old spot! Probably people surverying they land for that new Dive Machine... Hah. Maybe this is the first of many sightings for a new attraction! I'm not sure.. but wouldn't you think that if they're starting this early on the land, that our next attraction might be a big one? I HOPE!

Image
Next was Demon back row! I don't know why... but I like back row on a lot of the rides.. Possibily because its the ejector seat on that first drop on Demon... We took the yellow train and had a great time! I want to see that red train up though. Out of the four times I went, I haven't seen it running at all!

Image
Next, we headed to American Eagle. Iron Wolf wasn't open yet. We go onto the red train. The blue side wasn't running becuase someone 'got a little sick' on it. The ride started normally and everything. Then, about half way up the lift, it slowed drastically. We were going at the speed of the lift chain on the blue side with no cart on it. Im guessing the lift registered that in dropped us off already.. but I was sort of hoping that we would get stuck...
After we got off, they re-opened blue, so we decide to head toward it when it breaks down... So we head toward Iron Wolf!

Image
Ahhh. Iron Wolf... Wolfie... We got on it, front row, and bumped our heads around a bit, but other than that, I still enjoyed the ride. It's a roller coaster that you really need to challenge correctly so you don't get head injuries.

-LUNCH AT Moose Burger
Then We headed To Spacely's! (So we can say we've been on every coaster in a day)

Image
Up next was Whizzer! It is a classic and all.. but it's about to reach its peak ages! I think it has already had its mid-life crisis back when it got modified, but it'll be sad to see that poor thing go later... Aside from that, it was a great ride!

Image
Back row on Viper. Only about a 10 minute wait! Viper got stuck once on it hill from what I know. Viper: Rough like any woodie, but the air-time is always a posi+ive!

We went back on the Eagle, and rode Blue side this time because it was open and racing! Red won by a lot and another fun ride! The trim before the turn into the station on the blue side lets the train go by way faster than the red side..

When leaving eagle, we saw that Iron Wolf was stuck! Here is a video of that for the curious ones:

Speaking of stuck, Giant Drop got stuck half way up! Then they were brought back down slowly and got to ride again, with a successful ride. Heres footage!

Image
We Had a nice ride on Dark Knight! I fianlly spotted the first batman! Waited like 40 min... but i really dont care.

Image
Image
Here are some pics of Superman. They look like shadows. We waited like 20 minutes. Second row! Superman (a.k.a. The Six Flags Pocket Spiller)

Image
Image
Last two rides... Raging Bull! Back row teal train! (Teal all day baby)

Image
Here is that banner of the cheap season passes! FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS! (don't complain about it because complaining is bad) haha. Well, they should give you that price if you tell them, then they'll take it down before anyone else can ask.
Then we took the bus back home!

^ Not sure if you read the whole banner, but the $34.00 for the Season Pass is for those that purchased a one-day general admission ticket, and want to upgrade to a Season Pass. Of course, proof of one-day ticket purchase is required to get your Season Pass at that price.

^ Normally in the park, such an upgrade is 54.99, but this one says 34.00 when all the others say the normal price.

^ Ahh I see now. I did not even think of that part of it, as I already have a season pass.

That is kind of funny. I wonder how many people have bought a SP for that price?

Great TR!

That's almost as good as my 4-19 report

Nah, I'm just kidding, same as mine, lots of pics, etc. Went over the top on this!

Only question I have is why Does it say "De Ja Vu - 14"?

We should be seeing them by SWF area too if the Dive is comin' I don't think Mark will want to only satisfy families. He knows, or rather has to, thrill seekers want something new too.
