Opening Day...with way too many closings

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Alright, so we got to the park at around 10:10 and I immediately met my buddy, TJ. =) We went on Triple Play and I continued my tradition of Yellow car first ride of the day. I asked the Triple Play ride op. if she knew when all the rides in County Fair would open. She said right away. HA. As I was riding Triple Play my second time, I saw Whizzer was stuck on the lift so we went into County Fair. I took some pics. of Vu's remains and headed for my ol' buddy Demon. The soundtrack's back!!! Once again, i had no problems with headbanging as I kept my head FORWARD. I rode that twice more and then, we went on Eagle. Blue side was being retracked so we obviously rode red. It was awesome and TJ was surprised how good that first drop feels. Kinda windy that high up though. After Eagle, we rode Great America Raceway and a car stalled. =/. it was quite a long ride but still fun as always. We then went back to hometown square to get our passes taken care of. The line took FOREVER but I was glad it was done with. We decided to see if there were more rides open in Orleans Place than in County Fair. Rue le dodge was open so we rode that. I think i enjoyed it more than I ever did. Unfortunately, Condor was closed due to the windy weather. TDK is coming along nicely but the front is a little corny-looking with the painted sky. Oh well. We got to Mardi Gras and went right through it because every single ride was closed except roaring rapids. Ironic huh in 50-degree weather + wind chill? We skipped it and rode East River Crawler once because TJ made me. I still don't find it enjoyable. Say what you want. Whirligig was closed and I wasn't feeling like riding a coaster at the moment so we went on to Yukon. Camp Cartoon has a slightly different sign with Cartoon in green. TJ wanted to ride Loggers Run and he got an on-ride photo which looked pretty nice. He decided to go back and ride it a few more times while we ate a snack but they had to close it since not enough people were riding it. Then, he made the mistake of riding Iron Wolf. he came off with ears as red as a fire hydrant. lol. After riding Fiddler's Fling, We went on Eagle again and swore at the exact same time which was pretty funny. Then, after getting a quick ride on Columbia, we made our way around the park again and did most of the rides again. We rode whizzer and last, we went into Southwest Territory. We rode Viper and it was good as always. Then, rode Ricochet twice without getting off since absolutely nobody was in Southwest Territory. lol. we rode River Rocker for our final ride on opposite ends and it was ok. Over all, we had a lot of fun and did everything we wanted to do that was open.

Yeah that was a great day I will have to get my loggers run photo up. I did make the mistake on going on the iron wolf. Was looking through all of the photos on this site and a lot of the rides were opening for a short time. Saw a picture of the condor when people were getting on it.
