Florida Trip

Let us know how your day at the park was.

I was going to make this a photo TR but my camera crapped out on thursday night so no pictures. We got to Orlando on wed. night but didnt do much. The next morning we went to IOA.

We got their at around 9:30 and found light crowds. We decided to go on hulk first which had a 20 minute wait. That was probably the longest wait of the day. The que had good theming and the line was always moving. We got on third row and had a great time. I didnt think I would like Hulk that much but I was wrong. The next ride of the day was Dr. Dooms FearFall. We went through the single rider line and it was a walk on. I honestly expected a lot more from this ride. It was okay but I thought it would have been more of a thrill. After that we went to Duelling Dragons Ice. It would have been a walk on but they added a train to each side while we were waiting in the station which took a while. It was a fun ride and lived up to my expectations. After we got off ice we waited about 15 minutes to get on fire. I think fire was slightly better. After we got off we got in line for fire one more time. The line was long (distance)for this ride but was themed well. After this ride was the Jurasic Park river ride. It was great and very fun. After this we went to eat lunch at Captain America's Diner. After lunch we rode Hulk one more time which still had a 20 minute wait. After Hulk we walked on Dr. Dooms FearFall 4 times. We then rode flying unicorn and then walked over to the poppey water ride and we got soaked. After the water ride we went to dinner and then left at 6:30.

The next day we went to USO. This was a great park. We went on everything except Earthquake which is closed for rehab. Im not going to go into detail about every show but, my favorite was terminator 2 in 3D. The best ride they had was probably Revenge of the mummy which only had a 10 min. wait. We rode this about 3 times.

The next park we went to was BGT. We started off the day on Gwazi Tiger. This was one of the roughest coasters Ive ever been on. After Gwazi we went on Sheikra. The first drop is great but after that it got boring but worth the 15 minute wait. The intresting thing is we hit a bird in the splash pool and had to wait on the brake run before the station for 20 min. After Sheikra we rode Kumba which was a walk on. This is one of the best coasters Ive been on in my life. After we got off we went back on for a second ride. After Kumba we rode Scorpion. It was just opening as we got there so it was a walk on. The ride was fun and I enjoyed the loop with out an otsr. We walked over to cheetah chase after but it had a 40 min. wait so I left. I couldnt justify waiting that long when the major rides had shorter wait times, and we're getting one here next year. After this we walked on Montu twice. This ride was amazing. We ate lunch after Montu and then rode the Sky Ride. After that we went back to Gwazi Lion. We got stuck going up the lift hill. After a 5 minute delay we started going again. This side was just as rough. After Gwazi we walked over to Sheikra which had a 20 minute wait. While in line I overheard the man behinde me tell his wife about how Six Flags runs their park so much better than Busch and how the rides are more reliable and opeen more often. I laughed. After Sheikra we went back to Kumba. When we got to the station the ride shut down for 15 minutes. After we got on we walked on Montu again. Then ended the day on Sheikra.

On sunday we went to Sea World. This is a great park. We watched all the shows. My favorite was the Sea Lion show. I was a little disapointed by the Shamu show though. Durring the Shamu show we sat in the soak zone. When they say soak zone they mean it. After all the shows we rode Journey to Atlantis. It was a great water ride. Then we waited 15 minutes and rode Kraken. After Kraken we ate lunch and then we pet the Dolphins. After we pet the dolphins we left.

I had a great time there and the weather was great. It was around 80 all week. My top three rides there were Motu, Kraken, and then Kumba. I cant wait to go back again.

Sounds like you had a good time. I'm suprised you weren't impressed with Dr. Doom's Fear Fall. I loved it...

Well, since i'm a huge Universal nut i've gotta ask, did you check out the Horror Make-Up Show, Fear Factor Live, or Jimmy Neutron?! All three are EXCELENT and exceeded my expectations, but nothing beats the Mummy! It will more than likely remain my favorite coaster forever! Oh, and how about that drop on Popeye?!

Glad to hear you had a nice trip, sucks to hear about the photos, but once again, at least you had a great time!

Yeah we watched Fear Factor and rode Jimmy Neutron but sadly we didnt see the Horror make-up show. Jimmy Neutron was really fun and it had a decent line all day. Some of the stunts in the Fear Factor show were amazing.

^Especially the trick they play, right? And yes, the Chicken Dance will never be the same without the simulator! Did you see Poseidon at all? cause that's probably the most underrated, and in my opinion the best, ride in IoA?

Yeah the special effects at the end were great with all the fire and water they used.

I did when I was there. I thought it was great! And an excellent way to escape the heat (although I would accept endless amounts of heat right about now).

When I went on it, it kept breaking down while I was in line.

I'm glad you had a good trip down to Florida. I have never been to Orlando before, so I haven't gotten to go to WDW, USO, etc. In fact, I have never been to any theme parks other than SFGAm, which I guess isn't even a theme park.

/\ Why isn't SFGAm a theme park? It is themed.

Anyways, that legend of the triton show was great and had excellent special effects.

Also, USF=a college in South Florida
