SFGAm - 8/31 - BURN, VU, BURN!!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Do I Know You on August 31st, 2003, 9:48 pm
Got to the park at around 3:00PM. It was raining and it was a sunday, so I thought the park would be empty. It was just the opposite of that.I had to park in the overflow lot. The park was PACKED. The first thing I wanted to get on was Batman, but it was past the GCPD switchbacks, so I didn't get in line. I walked by Deja Vu and saw that all but 2 switchbacks were full. I decided not to get in line because I thought it might clear out by the time I get on another ride. I headed for Eagle. The wait was about 30 minutes for the front. Everything before the helix is just AMAZING in the front! You seem to be going so much faster than any other seat. After the helix it's kinda boring.Got off Eafle and walked around the park a little bit. I got on Demon.Twenty minute wait for the back. It's fun, but not really worth 20 minutes.I walked by Deja Vu again. Someone put up the "This ride will not open today. Go away. We hate you" sign, even though the ride was running with PEOPLE ON IT! I waited by the sign for about five minutes when some ride operator said "We're giving the last rides of the day. Go home". I checked on Raging Bull and the line was out of the queue. Viper's line was pretty short so I queued for that.Thirty minute wait. Took a ride on 1:3. I had a few inches between my lap and the lap bar so I was in airtime heaven! WOW! I was out of my seat almost the entire time! That last bunny hop is the best part of the ride in that seat.(I still saw Deja Vu running with people in it)I walked all the way around the park and got in line for Batman because its line was a lot shorter; it was just at the beginning of the park thing.I waited about twenty minutes, then it broke down. Started back up. Yay. Ten minutes later: "Batman may cease operation because of the weather". Nay. Five minutes later: "Sorry for the inconvience but Batman has broken down". Nay again. Ten minutes later I decided to leave the line. Yay.Got some lunch and went back to Viper for another awesome ride in 1:3. By then Deja Vu FINALLY stopped running. Raging Bull's line wasn't too long so I queued for a night ride on that.Only about a forty minute wait for the back. I had an INCREDIBLE ride on it! The yellow train DOES seem a lot faster.I went back for Batman again and the line wasn't too long. There was about a thirty minute wait for the front row. Maybe it was because it was raining but this ride seemed so much faster than the last time I rode it.It was about nine o'clock and the park was about to close. I rate this visit a 5/10. Blah.

I had the same thing happen with me last week with Vu. It really pissed me off. Short staffing is most likely the cause.
