Got in about 10:30 and for some stupid reason decided to wait 45 min. for S:UF. Would have been on sooner but it went down for about 10 min. Then they sent an empty train. Still, had a nice ride. King Chaos was down all day, so was Yankee Clipper. Batman's line was through the park, so headed for V2 which was...you guessed it....down all day. Eagle hadn't opened, so grabbed a walk-on for Revy. So glad to finally ride it again! Vu was naturally also down all day. Although I know I saw it run (testing maybe) at least once from HH.
I went to process my pass while I was in Hometown Square and was glad that there was no wait for that. Was heading by the IMAX just in time for the show. I didn't mind seeing Marvin the Martian again but was hoping for something new this year.
Went to the car to grab my bag and entered HH about 12:45. Yeah! HH was pretty dead. Skull Island was COLD. Went on Lazy River next and got used to the water. Hardly any shade here so by the end I was not cold at all. Only Tornado had a line and it wasn't bad but I skipped it. I got in 3 tube slides, a few body slides, went back to Skull Island for a while and left HH at 2.
Grabbed a walk on for Viper. This was the best ride ot the day. Viper was flying this afternoon. Tons of great air. Bull's line looked a little long, so I rode Ricochet. It was 2:30 just as I was walking by Spygirl, so I watched that. It wasn't awful, but I was expecting it to be a little more exciting.
After Spygirl, I walked on Demon, then headed over to Eagle. Line was at the bridge so I decided not to wait. Wiggles World looks nice. Much better use for that tent. Passed on Wolf even though the line was only at the bottom of the stairs.
By now I was ready to get wet again, so I rode Logger's Run. 15 min. wait. Decided to do Batman next. Line was better now, just out of the tunnel. Great ride but seems a bit rougher this year to me. After Batman, I got in line for Whirligig just as they we closing it for the day. It was only 4 and they were already closing the few flats in that area that even opened at all today. As I walked to the front at 4pm I noticed that Whirlygig, East River Crawler, Jester's Ride, Balloon Ride, were all already closed. I'm not sure if they all had even been open earlier. I thought that was ridiculous considering all the rides that never opened today. By my account the following rides were closed all day: King Chaos, Yankee Clipper, V2, Vu, and STT.
At least Condor was still going, so took a spin on that, then waited about 10 minutes for Wizzer. I probaly could have ridden Viper again, but I had to get my bag from the HH locker by 5. I got my bag in time and decided to call it a day. Left the park at 5. If I didn't have work tomorrow, I would have put my bag in the car and gone back in because it appeared that the many school groups today were all gathering near the front gate around 5 to leave. I'm sure that later everything that stayed open was a walk-on.
A nice first '07 trip. But for Bull, V2, Vu, Eagle and Iron Wolf I will just have to wait a little longer.
