July 5th Report

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby shockwave guy mark on July 5th, 2006, 11:31 pm
Today was a great day to go to six flags great america. The main park was empty, but not hurricane harbor.

when we first got in to the park, I split up from my friends becuase I wanted to go on DeJaVu. I had to wait 5 minutes until I got on. It was really fun. My 2 friends got stuck on Demon for 15 minutes so I decided to take another ride on DeJaVu. I got in line, and the train missed the catch car. I exited and met up with my friends who got a free pass to go on a ride.

we headed toward eagle. Blue ran 5 minutes after we got oof, but red was still fun.

Then was Iron Wolf. No line at all. We walked right onto front row. It was a rough ride, but the new harnesses look nice.

Next Up was Vertical Velocity. This made a problem again. No matter I went front row for V2 since it was a walk on, and my friends went into row 3. after I got off my friend went for another ride.

Next was Batman. also a walk on. We went in secound row since front row had a 30 minute wait. When we got off my friend did not feel well, which is wierd because its his favorite ride.

After that my friends decided to get something to eat. I didn't though, food at six flags is a rip, and I can wait a while to eat. I just decided to play DDR EXTREME. The screen was faded, but the thing was the machine was actulay complete with the official japanese side decals.

After playing MAX300 on heavy we decided to head back to DeJaVu. Still closed, looked like it was going to open soon so me and my friend Nick ran into Demons line. Michael called while we were waiting saying DeJaVu opened so we hopped out of line and went to the Vu.

We were going to bored the 2nd train since it reopened that day. But the first cycle it went threw, it missed the catch car. Things were not looking good for the Vu' so me and Nick got out of line. Good thing to because it was closed for the rest of the day.

We headed to Giant Drop. My friend Michael sat out, and it was Nick's first ride he loved it. We went on it again. There was 2 rides on Giant Drop in like 5 minutes, there was no line for it at all.

after seeing the line for Viper, we headed right onto it, a 15 minute wait. It was fun! It had alot of air time because the harness does not hit my body.

After we got Off Michael Still did not feel good. So me and my friend went on Giant Drop 3 times in 20 minutes.

we got off. Michael still not feeling good. I decided to hang out at the racade at southwest territory while Nick used his pass that he got for being on Demon while it expeirenced difficulties.

I played HipHopMania 4 times. Man that game has alot of songs from DDR on it! Anyways my friend was stunned by how loud the music was when he took a step into the arcade and told mr that it was an extremely loud machine to play.

After we got off we went to see the stats of The Vu'. No good. the people said they wanted to fix the ride for good. Well good luck to them!

We headed towards AE, ended up not riding it. Walked past Iron Wolf, and hit Loggers Run. It was a 15 minute wait but it felt good to cool down. I was soaked, my friends, just had a few drops on them. I hated myself for going front row.

I had to dry off so Me and my friend decided V2 would be a good way to dry off. It was, I was almost dry!

we headed to Mardi Gras and saw King Chaos. Me and Nick went on it, and made some jokes about the tight harnesses. I still hate that ride for getting stuck on it last year.

We went to sky Trek Tower. We got on it, and ran out when we heard the workers saying there was something wrong with it.

We headed back to Giant drop. Rode that 2 more times. and still no line for it. No line at all.

After that we we headed toward American Eagle, but not to ride it! Me and Nick did the Dare Devil Dive. It was fun!

again, we headed towars King Chaos. Nick was the only one that rode it.

Right after Nick got off we got in line for Superman. We waited a half Hour. We hated ourselves for waiting in line.

After that we went to Giant Drop for 2 more rides, then Demon for a ride since mine was crossed out before.

We went to go see the line for Raging Bull, and it was Really long, so we just went home.

THE END!

Sounds like a good day. I thought the lines would be longer, considering it is 4th of July weekend.

It closed the next day after that, and was open only for about two hours (10-12 maybe).

Great TR. Felt sorry for your friend for getting sick but at least you had a fun day. Youre right DEJA Vu was out by the afternoon I heard a couple of people got stuck on it for a long time because their harness wont open I hope its not one of you guys and that BIG GREEN SNAKE was hissing I dont know if it was the speakers or a mechanical thing but it closed all day they should just kill its so unreliable and youre right Giant Drop line was so short people are just wimping out of this ride it was pretty cool to ride it on the 4th at night you get too see all the fireworks display from all over specially the one from Gurnee which was a better fireworks display than GA. Good job I hope youre friend feels better next time you take a trip.

When the miss catch happened it was swingin back and fourth for a min. then something caught (idk what did, i just started to get into coasters) and then the hissing noise started.
