TR 6-7-06

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby EagleFan344 on June 8th, 2006, 7:24 pm
Got to the park around 9:30. Me and Raging_Bull went to S:UF first, and got first dispatch in row 1. Good ride. Then proceded to B:TR for a ride then V2. Front row on V2 actually made it worth going on. Still not that great though. SFMW's V2 looks so much better.

Iron Wolf was next. Why did we go on it? I dunno. Went over to Eagle Blue next since Red was closed all day. Got on it for the only time that day. We even had to wait on the stairs so we were instantly worried about the crowds.

Bull was finally running 3 trains around 1? or so. We ended up getting 6 rides on it, line was moving FAST. Deja Vu looked like it was going to open so around 1:30 or so we hung around there for a while. We decided to go to Taco Bell for lunch and hoped Vu would'nt be testing when we got back. While on the way back on Grand Avenue, we noticed the catch car was higher than it was so we were a little worried. Got in the park and sadly Vu was testing. However we went over there and there wasnt that big of a line, we just kinda made our way to the front of the crowd. Within 5 minutes we were first in line. Finally got on it a little later, row 1A. Awesome first ride, my first since July 27th. We went on it again, and little did we know it would be the greatest Vu ride yet. Start of the ride was normal, however we hauled through the loop and on the 2nd tower, something was weird. Some strange noises were heard, and instead of dropping, the cable lowered us to the evac platform. We were goin crazy with excitement. We thought we would be evacuated off the platform, but we started moving up the tower again. Finished the ride like normal, and as we pulled in the station a certain employee saw us on the train and laughed a little. How lucky were we 8) .

Near 6 or so, the park completely emptied out. We got on BTR about 5 or 6 times in a row, got on Viper 5 times or so in a row, then went to Bull for a couple rides to close off the night including last dispatch.

Bull: 6
Vu: 2
Eagle Blue: 1
Viper: 7
BTR: 8
Iron Wolf: 1
V2: 2

News and Notes:
*We saw Vu miscatch or something around 8:40. It just kept going back and forth through the station. We were gonna head over there for last dispatch but oh well.
*Best trip of the year, got on more coasters than Mother's day.
*Motorola SLVR got owned on SUF.

Heh, on Memorial Day weekend a RAZR also got 'owned' on SUF. Not mine though. Anyway, great TR. Retractions on Vu are always fun.

There was another one on Batman too. I wouldn't mind getting out and picking one up, since I lost my old cell on Chubasco or something...

Oh yea, I saw you there, eaglefan344, but I doubt you'd remember me. I was that random guy standing next to themanoftheland8.. Good TR

Ya that covers the day for the most part :) It was fun, probably my best trip yet this year. There were tons of busses but unlike last friday many of them left before closing which was nice.

First dispatch in Vu 1a was awesome. Also was nice to see I can still fit on Vu this year (sorta) I'm like 1/4" below the red line when I take my shoes off, lol. I didn't get height checked either time though, but the first time in the station I took my shoes off to be safe
