My SFGAM Trip 7/20/03: FUN!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby coastercrazy111 on July 21st, 2003, 11:57 am
I woke up about 8:30 on Sunday morning. It looked like a bueatiful day so I new we were for sure going to SFGAM. It would be my 5th time at the park this season. We left my house about 9:30 and got to the park around 10:30.(there was a lot of traffic) We didnt get into the park until almost 11:15 because my Sister had to pick up some tylenol for a headache she had. Also there was a long line to get into the park. We payed for parking.(Preferred) Then we went into the park. We all used the bathroom so no one would have to go for a couple hours. We wanted to get a ride on S:UF but the line was already Horendous. I've been on that ride 4 times so I could wait until later to ride it. We went over to Batman and noticed that the ride line was full on both Queues inside and out, and was beginning to go into the third one by the East River Crawler. We also saw that V2's line was full so we went straight for American Eagle Backwards. When we got into the line they were only running blue side. But when we were about in the station red side started up. We only waited about 10 minutes. My friend Matt and I got on the very last car. My sister and brother in law had gotten on the ride before us so they got off and waited by the exit. I really had a good ride on AE. The air time in the last car during the drop is great. It was around 12:30 and we were hungry so we went to the Farmers Market to get some Nachos and other things. After we ate we went over to The Viper. We got in line, and we left shortly after because the line had not moved for like 10 minutes straight and they only had one car running so we decided to come back later. We went over the RB. The line was short as usual. When we got to one point in the all you could smell was the ungodly smell of puke. It was so disgusting. Finally we got onto the stairs. Then we saw them send out an empty train. They sent out al three trains empty then stopped all of them at the station. I looked at Giant Drop, and those cars were going up empty, and Demon was going up empty, and there was an eery silence. Nothing happened for like 5 minutes then all the line started moving again. WEIRD! After an AMAZING ride on the RB we went over to Viper. The line had gotten a bit shorter and was moving. When we got into the station we noticed that they had it organized. They were only letting so many people in the station at a time. It was the first time I had ever seen the floor on this side of the station. My friend Matt and I went to first car. We noticed that a Girl was being carried down by 2 employees, we later heard ride op's saying that she fainted. Well we had a cool ride on Viper. We walked around a little bit and walked over the cool stations, and looked in the stores just to be in the air conditioning. Then we wanted to get out of the heat for a while so we went over to the Pictorium to see Adrenaline Rush. After that we were nice and cooled down and ready to ride. We went over to Superman and got in line. It was My bro-in-law, my friend matt, and Me. My sister sat out because her head still hurt. We waited about an hour for S:UF. We had an AMAZING ride on that. My 5th time on it. We then went to Batman, we got on that last car in about 20 minutes. As we left the station we noticed the sky was kind of dark.(there we supposed to be thunder storms.) So after Batman we decided to leave, before the storm came. We were going to eat at Aunt Martha's, our favorite restaurant in the park, but we wanted to leave before the storm. We had decided to go to Gurnee Mills and eat there. We wanted to eat at the food court, but the mall closed at 7:00 which was a half hour away. We finally came to a conclusion to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. We got caught in SOME light traffic on the way home but got home at about 9:00. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. I CANT WAIT UNTIL MY NEXT TRIP.
2010 is going to be one to remember forever!!

WOW! That is a lot of block text! Glad you had fun. I've seen a few people come close to fainting in Southwest Territory. I can't stand traffic when I drive home.
