May 29th, 2006 - Day 3

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 30th, 2006, 5:51 am
The day didn't start out too good. We didn't get there until about 11:30. First we went on Yankee Clipper. The line was short but it took forever. 30 minute wait. It was a nice cool-down. Then we hopped onto Whirligig, since BTR's line looked long. Well after that we went on BTR anyway. It ended up breaking down, and they had to take off one train. We waited a whole hour.

By then we needed another cool-down. Now we went on Logger's Run. Next up in line was Iron Wolf. Then we had to go eat lunch in the car. Next we went on Viper, which was less than a 10 minute wait. After this it started to storm. Everyone was running out of HH. We went into HH. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, they opened up the wave pool, and we dove in.

It didn't look like the slides were going to open anytime soon, so I was disappointed. We went in Castaway Creek, and stayed in there for 2 rounds. When we were about to get out I noticed a lifeguard going up Tornado's stairs. We quickly got out and checked it out. We saw a little kid that looked like he was getting a tube - yes, Tornado is now open! We walked right onto it.

We wanted to go on again, so we waited 20 minutes for it. This ride on it was by far the best out of our other 4 rides on it. It was amazing. Now we only had a half hour or less left until HH closing. We did a lot in less than a half hour. We went on Vortex, Typhoon, both body slides, and Typhoon again.

We went straight to Bull when we came back in the regular park. After one ride, we went on again. Then we went on Demon, and stayed on for a second ride. I had a headache after that. Then we took a spin on Orbit, and ran over to Batman because it now had 2 trains. Of course no line, so we got on, and got to stay on again. We get off and my bag is GONE! Nice way to end the day huh? It had a towel in it, my season pass, candy, medicine, and some other stuff. Nothing too important though. We hit Superman once the park closed, and then I went to lost and found. I also got another season pass.

Day didn't start out well, but got better later on. Then it got bad again... sort of.

Somewhere in Florida a village is missing its idiot. He can be found in Washington D.C.

So, how are you going to get in the park again with your season pass gone??

You can get a replacement card at the park for a small fee.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Like I said in the TR, I got another one, for free. You only get one chance each year, after that it's a small fee.

I forgot to mention, while on Vortex, the lifeguard let us go a little soon. When we got into the bowl the other people were still there.

How was tornado? I'm confused...it reminds me of one of those coin things that you toss the coin in and it goes around and round until it falls in the hole.

Tornado is really fun, and it's a different experience every time. Our last ride on it was the best because of how high we were going.

vortex is one of the bowl slides, they look like a giant toilet bowl. On the Tornado, you go down a tube, then straight down, then you go back and forth on the walls of the funnel, and when you lose speed, you come out the hole w/ the splash pool.

Is Vortex the orange and pink one or the Green and Blue?

Green and blue I believe. Typhoon is the pink and orange. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry for the double post, but I just got my stuff returned today. The only things I didn't get back were the towel and candy. I'm just glad I got my bag back. Heh, this is the 2nd time I've had two of the same season passes for one year.
