Record Setters! May 14th, 2006!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby rct2wizard360 on May 14th, 2006, 11:38 pm
Another Rct2wizard and twitches TR.

Our day started off with the run to Raging Bull and a great first dispatch.

We then decided to do something we found about last season.

One of our friends who works at Giant Drop told us in the '04 Season, a group of kids set a "record" if you will with 54 consecutive rides on Giant Drop. Today we decided to beat it.

It was Me, Alex (twitches), our friend Jerome, and Mike (EagleFan).
We set the new record at 59 consecutive rides.

Pictures from our little event!

Us at ride #12..we were in seperate cars at the time.

And us at ride #55 breaking the official park record!

First with Brad...

Then with Kyle...

We got a bunch more random credits on everything. V2 marathon was in there so was a Viper marathon for a little bit. Basically a bunch of random rides that weren't kept track of all to well.

And a Deja Vu update.

Water Dummies! I'll also have a really small video of catchcar testing later on.

A close up...

It was one of the best times in the park I've had in awhile and it was amazing.

A gigantic thanks to Giant Drop crew for letting us get our 59 rides. You guys were awesome!

Total Rides for the day: 75.

I saw you guys when I rode Giant Drop. Did one of you turn 18 yesterday? I'm pretty sure I remember the ride op saying over the load speaker that it was the 18th ride in a row for his 18th birthday. When I came back a few minutes later, you guys were still on it. I thought to myself, "they have to be SFAGm'ers" Well done guys.
Who had the V2 shirt on? I remember seeing him several times during the day.

rct2wizard had the V2 shirt on. Nice trip report, that many rides on Drop must've been pretty cool. Yesterday I liked it more than before for some reason, probably because it scared me every time.

We rode it 5 times in a row. That pretzel loop puts a physical pounding on you.

They just weren't set yet.

That's right after it came back and Kyle went picture crazy.

I mean..come on, we're not that bad.

You know, people forget, but Deja Vu is not a new coaster. Though when it does open every year, it seems like it is brand new due to its major downtime. However, it's not new, so there's no need to see a catchcar go up and down in video form ...unless you find that kinky...you know, the up and down motion... :P

Anyone beat my Raging Bull or Iron Wolf record yet?

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

I think Joe has some issues with looking excited. Every single one of those pictures he's giving a mugshot look. You're breaking records dude, you could at least crack a smile. And considering the situation, you are not hard core enough to just throw some hand gestures up. (i mean c'mon, the hair, the fact that its 59 times in a row on the same ride, not even really a coaster, not THAT cool)

Just playin' dude, but you should smile more for real.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
