SFStl April 14th & 15th

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby rct2wizard360 on April 16th, 2006, 5:56 pm
After a six hour drive with t-w-i-t-c-h-e-s we arrived at the park just a little after opening. Pulling up to this park I realized how small it was compared to SFGAm. We made it to the front gates and the day started from there.

Mr. Freeze
I have been anxious to ride this since I found out about it. We rode front with about a four train wait. Both sides weren't running at this point. There is a nice pop of air in the top hat going backwards.
We rode it a few more times then we were off to Boss.

Boss
This seemed to be a good woodie. We rode back first time. It was a little rough but not as bad as people make it out to be. After being on Mean Streak I can handle anything.

Screamin Eagle
One word...Trims

Ninja
Why do people make this out to be such a horrible coaster. It's very fun in the front and its an amazing ride for the footprint it has. Right seat, that head chopper is amazing. Left has some coming out of the turn around into the breaks.

Batman: The Ride
This was very weird considering it was mirrored. There was some headbanging because the layout confused me. Didn't enjoy it that much.

River King
BEST AIRTIME IN THE PARK.
Sure Boss has floater but no force. Back row on this has the best pop of air in the entire park on that last drop. Amazing.

X-Caliber(sp?)
A very intense flat. I enjoyed it.

Scooby Doo GhostBlasters
Most entertaining thing the whole day. My score sucked the first round but my accuracy got better. That drop towards the end? That was pretty intense. A really fun ride.

Other Interesting Stuff
--We sat in Mr. Freezes station for around 2 1/2 hours during the thunderstorm. The ops were giving us water and such. It was pretty cool. We have pictures of an op down in the ride area (under the track in the station) without a helmet or vest on. Against Policy?
--Joker had better air than any ride in the park.
--Was there a handslap tunnel on the way out at closing? It was pretty cool. The park was very guest interactive and concerned with customer service.
--STOP (Superman Tower of Power) was still seatless and restraintless. I don't know why the park is slacking so much with this. It could have been open by opening day if they felt like trying.

All in all I gave the park at 7.9/10. I won't be making a trip back there until they get a new coaster. A B&M hyper would be an amazing addition. It would attract the GP like wildfire.

So, the trims were too much on Screamin' Eagle, or was it the opposite that there were none? You didn't get any air on that ride???? You didn't try out Rush Street Flyer. Compared to our Batman or the other two at SFOG/SFMM , I don't like that one much.

I love those three, and dislike that one. It makes a difference going the other way??? Everyone goes on XCalibur, but they don't like The Orbit or over there it's called Highland Fling. They are kind of similiar if you ask me. I don't get it.

Glad you guys had fun, despite the weather.

You are so right about the River King Mine Ride. That was possibly my favorite coaster in the park (Since we didn't ride Mr. Freeze) and that airtime in the end is AMAZING back row!! Definitely my favorite Mine Train. And I didn't know that the Scooby Doo ride had a drop at the end....
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

If it wasnt for the weather, my totals would be WAY better.

^When I went on it a few weeks ago I had no airtime whatsoever in the back seat. Sure it was probably the smoothest ride I had ever had on a woodie but it was sorta forceless.
