April 1st Picture Report SFStL

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby w00dland on April 2nd, 2006, 11:32 pm
Weeee roller coasters again! We took off around 1:30 on Friday afternoon and started the nice long 6 hour drive through some of the most exciting stretch of highway ever...
Image

Then we got to SFStL and I was greeted by about 5 or 6 shakes of the hand. Then my jaw dropped when I saw these people over a half hour before the park opened...

Image

Luckily I found some kids right near the front who were kind enough to let me sneak in. It was cool there were beach balls that they gave us to knock around then some guy took off his clothes which was kind weird...

Image

But it was all good because after he took off his clothes it was time for some Mr. Freeze!

Image

So after the first dispatch of the year we got the first mispark of the year! Woo! After the mechanic manually moved the train a few inches we were off to Scooby Doo for some target practice. I love this ride so much.

Image

Then we got off and my jaw dropped again. Shapiro kept one of his promises already. Outside in the DC comic area was The Flash, Batman, Robin, Scooby Doo, and the Green Lantern. It was crazy.

Image

So after that we just headed on our own merry little way and found this ride:

Image

It was running really really well today, especially towards the end of the day when it got cooler outside. Not too rough and really intense and fun. Anyway we kept on our little spree of coasters and hit Screamin Eagle which was probably smoother than any other coaster there. It just got retracked so it was nice and smooth but I thought it was pretty boring too.

There was this giant tower there too, somehow the colors reminded me of Superman...

Image

So then we did Ninja, which hurt a lot but still had that cool headchopper goin for it. The corkscrew looked like it was going to break in half Final Destination style or something...

Image

After Ninja we hit Batman which surprised me today. Usually this Batman kind of sucks compared to ours but today it was running fast, seemed just like the one at home, without the trees of course.

Image

We hit River King Mine train somewhere in there, just FYI. Anyway then we got super hungry and needed some food. The answer:

Image

And there was this sign

Image

And the food was decent. Moving on. We went back to Freeze because it's amazing. Afterwards I was meeting a few other characters

Image

When I noticed that they really beefed up security...

Image

Then we were supposted to have a Scooby Shootout, but that was postponed due to an "unknown" reason. So we went back to Batman for another ride on it, then I saw this kid...

Image

THEN I SAW SPEEDY GONZOLAS!!!

Image

It was crazy. Anyways we went back to Scooby for our Shootout and I lost because my damn Fright Light didn't work. Nuff said. Our day was starting to wind down, so I wanted to ride this again:

Image

And it was pretty sick, way better than Eagle any side. We wanted another ride on Freeze before the night was over, so we did that. And it was amazing, just like the other 5 rides from the day.

Image

There was only 5 more minutes until park closing so we rushed over for a final Scooby Showdown. I did much better this time. 185,000 Better than her:

Image

But not better than him. No fair though because he had two guns.

Image

And that was the day at the park. It was intense and a lot of fun. Sadly it was really sunny:

Image

That was sad. Anyways that was the trip. Thanks a lot for reading (or just looking if you didnt have much time) Some notable things to say was that there was this new kiddy area that I didn't get any pictures of but it was pretty amazing. A bunch of rides, a playground, a water area, some pretty intense stuff. The park was very friendly and shook our hands like a million times. Serioously though, there were some big changes in the Customer Service Dept. I liked it a lot. I hope everybody who went had a good time, too. Good day overall.

.

I remember this security guy. I had to shake his hand and have a conversation with him. Also did you notice all the name tags have under the names "Entertainer"?

Nice PTR.

Yeah Newjedi I did notice that every single person had a name tag with entertainer on the bottom, even yellow tags and food service I believe.
