B&M 4D

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I've been skeptical about B&M designing a 4D, in fact, I still am a little. However, RCDB lists Port Aventura as possibly getting an 80m tall one in 2005. Oh, just so you know, 80m is tall, well over 250'.http://rcdb.com/installationdetail2403.htm

While I don't find it odd that B&M would give a 4D type ride a shot, since it is a awesome Xperience :). I do find it odd that it would be 250 ft. tall. All of B&M's new ride types have been around 100 ft. and slowly worked thier way up to taller rides, even with the Hypers they started at the minimum and worked thier way up. But this seems so big for a B&M prototype. I hope it happens.

It seems possible. At first I didnt believe it since Arrow Dynamics came out w/it first. But then again, B&M wasnt the first company to make a flying coaster. I believe it.

The thing I wonder about is, what's the track going to be like? They're known for the box track, but with a 4th dimension you need 2 more rails... Unless they've come up with a different way to make the seats rotate without the extra rails...

If this becomes reality, can you imagine what the price tag of this thing is going to be. Good lord!!!!!
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

All I can say is why does it have to open up over there? I think it would be a great ride. A B&M 4D. That would only help them, unless it has problems, but havent heard of a B&M that has had MAJOR problems.
Eh, what's up?

I'd love to see it happen! Just hope it carries the intensity as the original, unlike the B&M flyer not being as good as the Vekoma. Although, I haven't been on X, so it's all new to me!

Superman at SFOG had Major problems when the rocker arm in the station broke. Nothing as major as X or TTD, but still a big problem. Maybe its just that B&M's problems are easier to fix quickly, but they have the same problems as other coasters.
you can't believe it - you didn't mean it
but they saw you do it and they know your name

SFoG had that problem too? I never heard about it, I only heard about when AIR's broke. However, on either, it wouldn't be that big a deal, because there are 2 stations, unlike ours, so it could stay open.

It would be awesome if they made a 4D. I wish we were the first ones to get it. Im not sure if GAm owns that pond by S:UF or not but if they do they could put it over the pond. I think it would be cool doing inversions over the water.
