Hmm... Viper number 23 woodie and Raging Bull number 17. I don't think they have moved too much from last year. I was surprised to see TTD so high on the list. The Boss at SFStl beat Viper?! What is this world comming to.

Im never surprised by results of awards like this, they are usually pretty inaccurate no matter how you look at them. Mean Streak making the top 50 wooden coasters just shows you how inaccurate these awards are. I have not rode Superman: Ride of Steel yet, so I can't comment on if that should be #1 or not. I have however rode Millennium Force and Magnum and think X should be ahead of both of them, since it is a far more thrilling ride in my opinion.Point is everyones opinion is different, and awards and polls are more of a popularity contest. Basically showing which coaster is more popular rather then showing which coaster is the best.As far as Viper and Raging Bull go. I believe Viper moved up a few spots...I think it was like 28 last year while Raging Bull moved down a few spots. I think it was like 13 last year.
Go Bulls!

They don't know how to count. Magnum has 798 points and Expedition Geforce has 794, so why isn't Magnum number 3? Raptor over TTD? Magnum in the top 5? Crazy if you ask me. But oh well, people have their opinions.

Magnum shouldnt have gotten number 4. The ride isnt good enough to be at that spot. They had good coasters in the lower spots. They should have more enthusiats go out and rate all the coasters. If they did that then it might be more accurate.

Raptor above Montu? Wrong in my books, Raptor is my least favorite full circuit inverted I've ridden (I still think it's a sweet ride though.)Mean Streak beating American Eagle? Hardly, they are the same as for roughness, but at least American Eagle has speed and some air.Millennium Force beating almost everything? I think Raging Bull is better, and Magnum is far superior to both.Oh well, even if the awards say different, my opinions won't change due to some little award that parks can use to say they have the best.

Yeah my opinions of rides are still the same. I think the awards are pretty inaccurate to what I think.

Well, do the parks even brag that they got a golden ticket? Do people know what they even are?in my opinion, If it was the general public, I would believe the list would be very different. A little bit more of a level playing field considering that most enthusiasts worship Cedar Point.I don't care what these results say, it's the individual experiences that make the park/coaster. We have all had a bad day at a park or had a rough ride on a coaster, but on others the day/ride was great.TBiggs, I will bet you that probably 70% of the people who rode/voted for Mean Streak never rode American Eagle. Another reason why these are bogus.

CP brags about all the awards they won. They have banner type things that say that it was voted bedt amusement park. There are some banner type things by MF that say it was voted best coaster. I dont remember seeing anything else besides the sign in the front of the park that says all the awards won.

I think the polls are fairly accurate. I just don't see why RB isn't higher than AC or even Nitro. Nitro is completely overrated. As for S:RoS being number 1, I couldn't agree any more. I would rate Raptor over Magnum any day. So that surprises me how high Maggie was rated. But... everything seems to fall into place so it's all good!

What I dont get is why Alpeingeist was 19th and of course there is Superman The Escape tied for the 45th spot with Top Gun GA. I think Top Gun and Alpie should be a lot higher, and STE shouldn't even be on the list.

maybe it was when it first opened, but when I rode it last summer it was weak. The launch was nothing and I could hardly feel any airtime

OK, this bothers me a little bit... how come Superman:Ultimate Escape makes 47th on the list of best steel coasters, but V2 doesn't make the list at all? They're clones! And if you think they don't put seperate clones on the list, think again... there are 3 Superman:Ride of Steel'sOnce again, proving that this list means nothing!

Its a popularity contest just like any other poll.Anyone who thinks the Golden Ticket Award is some high and mighty poll that deserves credit needs to get a reality check. Its all BS.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I think S:UE was on there just because it was the first one. I also agree with what Chitown said. I mean its just Amusement Business that did the poll. If were done by a bunch of groups then maybe it would acutally mean something.

Newman - none of the S:RoS's are actually clones. SFA and SFDL's are in a sense clones because they are mirrored, but they aren't exactly the same. SFNE on the other hand is completely different, offering a better layout with more airtime and tunnels.
